Can an American pharmacist fill out a prescription from a doctor from another country, Canada in my case. For antibiotics and birth control for example. Just curious if anyone has any information about this.

Thanks

No they need to be from a US doctor. At least that is what I was told when I asked the pharmacies here. What you are on may not be available here. I know all my meds changed, some of my inhalers changed for the worse too.

No. If your spouse has a doctor, go there (or to an urgent care place) with your meds in hand, and get a new prescription. You will probably only get a scrip for a small amount to fill in until you get your own doctor, who will want to give you a physical/know more about your medical history etc.

Ok thank you... It's not for right now. I was just curious after a conversation with my pharmacist about how many months of birth control she could give me at once. One of the things that make me most nervous about moving down south is health care, and I don't even have health issues... It just seems so complicated compared to here.
