I called on a Friday evening and was very successful in getting through, but it took 75 minutes before I spoke to a rep.

Yeah it's a good idea to have some refreshments and a sammich or two with you because you are going to wait for a long while before a human picks up the line on the other end. :pop:

What are most of you calling NVC for? Just to see if they have sent your package to the embassy? Their recording says not to bother them with questions about it until 35 days past your NOA2. Are most you past the 35 days and no response? THey are supposed to mail a letter out once they send the package on its way right?

Once you have the case number, you can fill out the DS-160 and in many places, set up the med appointment. No, they (NVC) will probably NOT mail a letter out. Or if they do, you're more likely to hear from the embassy before you get that letter (although I am not familiar with the Philippines and the embassy there).

I on hold now with NVC after many tries. I was beginning to think they were closed as I kept getting the message they are busy try again later. Now I'll just wait on my blue tooth. :)
