NOA2 on - Questions!

Ok folks, I have a couple of dumb questions, I'm hoping someone will be able to answer:

1. The information on VJ conflicts with the State Department's website on what you need to include in the package to send to your fiancée...help? Specifically the information supporting the I-134 (Affidavit of Support). Here, it states you should get a letter from your employer, statement from an officer of the bank/financial institution with your deposits, identifying the following: 1. date account opened; 2. total amount deposited for the past year; 3. present balance, only if self employed: 1. Copy of last income tax return filed (or IRS transcripts); or 2. report of commercial rating concern, and a list containing serial numbers and denominations of bonds and name of record owner(s). HOWEVER, on the State and USCIS websites, all it states is that you need to provide is your U.S. federal income tax return for the most recent tax year as well as proof of current employment. Shall I paper them to death? Or follow the actual rules?

2. Where the heck is everyone tracking all the stuff that's going on post-NOA2? None of the threads actually say WHERE to get any information after you've been kicked out of the USCIS system, except "call NVC". I think I'm the only person alive who has no idea what to do next other than gather information to send to the fiancée.

UGH.

Please help?

Many interviewing embassies/consulates either provide what is called a "packet 3" or a link to a page called "packet 3." At this stage of the process, these instructions/requirements "packets" are often embassy/consulate-specific. The VJ Guides are by necessity, pretty generic in this phase of the visa process. You should likely check out the website of the US Embassy in Islamabad: http://islamabad.usembassy.gov/pakistan/niv_how_to_apply_in_pakistan.html , another good source of information is the South Asia Regional Forum page. I will move your inquiry to the regional forum, you will likely be able to get current information at this forum.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

~Inquiry is country-specific~
