I called NVC as well and got the same response. So I sent the a form inquiry. find the link here. http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/contact/ask-nvc.html

They are even slower to reply to emails. You just need to keep trying to call. I kept doing redial and I got through after about 40-60 tries in about 5 minutes.

Wife and stepchild cases received 7/28, I called nvc

today no cases # assigned yet.. They say it could take 42 days...

Ours took about 2 weeks. I think 2-3 weeks is normal. So they probably won't have a case number after only 3 business days. Keep in mind they don't work weekends, etc.

Hi everyone!

Just got back from my two week trip to visit my husband...I am so happy to go over this thread and see that many of you have been approved!! I hope we can all go through the second phase together. I have checked that my case was forwarded to NVC on 7/28/15. I will let a few more days go by, before I call and ask to see if my case has been received. Please those of you who have been through the NVC stage, keep us updated so we can all know what we will encounter in the process. I am afraid I will do something wrong and get my case delayed....I hope this process goes by smoothly. May God keep blessing us all.

Hi guys,

I guess we are all moving along... Quick question for you guys...

Need some clarification. I've read the forum, but want to make sure on this one. My NOA2 was approved on July 29th and I'm still waiting to get my case number and Invoice ID number. Shall I start calling NVC now or wait another week?

My wife is in India and is it possible for her to request the PCC before having a NVC number?

Im trying to gather everything so I can to save time...

Also, Im an independent contractor and working for a company for 3.5 years. Thus, I dont have any W2's, but I do have my past 3 years tax transcript from the IRS and I am above the poverty level (125%).

Can I fill out the I-864ez or since I'm an independent contractor I should fill out I-864?

Thanks in advance for any clarification with these points.

I got email confirmation that our case is completed.. We're just waiting for our interview date to be scheduled.. Thank you Lord..

Congratulations! Best of luck for your interview. Hope you get your interview date fast.

Congratulations to everyone who got approved !

Has anyone tried calling NVC @ 603-334-0700. But, my call was disconnected with a message, " Due to increased number of calls. NVC is taking any calls.Thank You"

Did anyone else experienced the same thing ?

Hubby called NVC on Friday night around 10PM and was disconnected for 2 times. Then after 30 mins he called again, connected to the representative.

Wife and stepchild cases received 7/28, I called nvc

today no cases # assigned yet.. They say it could take 42 days...

Same. Already more than 2 weeks at NVC but no cases # yet. I'm getting a little impatient but oh well what else can I do but keep calling and keep praying.

Hi everyone. Today I called NVC and it took me like 30 times until I got to talk to someone. It has been 11 days since I was approved. They told they don't have my case so I will call on Friday again. Praying we get through NVC quick.

Hi all,

My husband just managed to call the NVC and they told him our case was scanned yesterday. They said they didn't have a case number and they wouldn't have it for 4 weeks (which annoys me to death - 4 weeks, seriously?!)

So, my question is, having our case scanned means that they received our case?

These dates they give are overstated. If having a case scanned means they received it, my case took 14 days to be received, not 35...

I believe they give you an estimate time just to reduce calls. I say call once a week until received then call twice a week till case number given. From what I’m seeing it’s about 14 business days for case number to be issued.

I called yesterday by just calling and hanging up if I heard the guy start speaking immediately. After about 5 calls I heard a ring but I was so excited I didn't understand the prompts and it disconnected me. I called back abt 15 times and got thru again but when I selected option 1 the line was just blank so I had to call back about 20 times and chose option 3. On hold for 30 mins and then when I got to the rep she said they didn't have it and can't tell if it was mailed, advise to wait 35 days. Called USCIS and they couldn't tell me if it had been sent.

3 hrs later I got an alert via email that it had been mailed to NVC. I find that ironic as the USCIS rep tld me if it wasn’t mailed by August 3rd I should call back. I didn’t realize until I got off the phone that it was Aug 3rd.

Good news! I called NVC yesterday(8/4) and our case number had just been assigned the day before so I got it and the IIN :) The case was received by NVC on 7/17, So 11 working days for case number to be assigned. But when I asked him if I should give in our email addresses he said the case is too new and he can't edit or make any changes to it quite yet. He said to call back by the end of next week and give the email ID's. I didnt bother logging into it with our case number till today and noticed that the DS261 was available to fill out. So I did that today :)

So NVC messed up! We told them on the I130 form that I need to be interviewed in Jamaica as I'm not eligible for to be interviewed in Montreal. This morning I called and got my case number and it was for Montreal. So I'll have to email them proof that I'm Jamaican and wait again for a case number to be reassigned. If I'm upset anymore...... Heaven will come down

If God takes us to it, He'll bring us through it. He'll never take us where His grace cannot reach and keep us
