For the NVC process, do i need to give a police clearance certificate? Or I can carry when going for interview.....?

Btw I got b1-b2 visa today

You need the police clearance certificate for your IV package. Take a look at the nvc wiki page on here. It pretty much tells you everything you need.

USCIS

2015-02-04: USCIS Received and transferred to NSC

2015-02-06: NOA1

2015-06-19: NOA2 Email. 133 days between NOA1 and NOA2

2015-06-26: USCIS update that case was sent to NVC

2015-07-02: Case received by NVC

2015-07-14: Case number assigned when calling on 2015-07-20 but couldn't give emails as case was locked still

2015-07-27: Called and was able to give emails

2015-07-27: Submit DS-261

2015-07-27: Pay AOS Fee

2015-08-25: Receive IV bill

2015-08-26: Pay IV Fee

2015-09-05: Submit DS-260

2015-09-07: Sent AOS and IV package via EP

2015-10-11: Resubmit via EP after being told to do so on 2015-10-09 as it looked like our original emails were lost

2015-10-16: Received email for scan date of 2015-10-12. Told that basically nothing can be done and we need to wait 30 days from 2015-10-12 (30+ days lost because they lost our emails)

2015-10-26: Told case is basically complete but that they are building my electronic file. Told there is no timeline for this.

2015-10-30 & 2015-11-13: Still told no update. Building electronic file still and no timeline.

2015-11-17: Case Complete

2015-12-03: Receive packet 4

2015-12-15: Medical

2015-12-18: Medical picked up results

2016-01-12: Interview - Approved!

2016-02-03: POE

Happy Monday Feb filers, I pray all the good keep pouring in. Today is a bitter sweet day for me it's my 3rd year anniversary ? and officially 5months today at NSC. Praying that some good news come our way soon.

Happy 3rd year anniversary! Since USCIS has received your RFE, I believe you will get approval soon. Keep the faith!

I just wanted to let everyone know that my case was approved on 7/23. Seems that they are working on the cases from February, even though the website says that they are working on cases from December, 2014. Hopefully, all of you who are still waiting will get approved very soon.

We got NOA2 approval today! Just wanted to let everyone know... After 18 months of pending applications we're finally moving forward!

Hi everyone, my husband said that there's an update on USCIS website with receipt number, so I immediately checked it. Is that NOA1 or just like some pre notification?

Oh! We are so close to each other! Our NOA1 is 2/17/15 and NOA2 is 6/30/15. Also received at NVC 7/17/15. Anxiously waiting for next step :/

Seconded, it's needed for NVC.

My case was sent last week, I'm in the process of procuring my certificate.

Hello everyone. 7 days since I got approved and I am trying to get as much info as I can for steps coming.

I was a j1 visa holder in the us from 2009 to 2011. Do i need to get a police certificate from the US?

Hi, no, you don't have to. They do their own checks. Just get from other countries you've lived in or your home country only if it's just US and that.

I was also a J1 and read up a lot on all these things.
