Hey Feb filers just an update! My husband finally got back, and the RFE was for him submitting a copy of our marriage license instead of the actually thing, ugh!!! But he's on his way to send it off in the mail!!!! You'll have a bless and provocative day/week. May we continue to send those prays up so our blessing could come raining down. Lets keep the faith and encourage each other that better days are ahead! ? ✌

I just double checked the I-130 instructions pdf, and it does say "A spouse, submit the following documentation: A. A copy of your marriage certificate."

Therefore, I wonder if they deemed the copy was insufficient because it was cut off or faded ink... I also submitted only the copy of marriage certificate.

That is odd. Now you have to request them to return your originals after approval.

Therefore, I wonder if they deemed the copy was insufficient because it was cut off or faded ink... I also submitted only the copy of marriage certificate.

That is odd. Now you have to request them to return your originals after approval.

I'm not sure what/how exactly my husband submitted the marriage license, because I have the original copy. Don't know if it was a bad reprint copy etc. But he do have a second copy he sent off today.

"Requests for more information. We may request more information or evidence...we may also request the originals of any copy. We will return these originals when they are no longer needed."

However, i do not think this process is automatic. I would request by calling uscis after approval, in case you don't have any other originals, because you would want to take originals to interview. My interpretation of your RFE is that they want the original. If your husband has another original, I would suggest that this is mailed in, rather than a copy of original. Certified copies are not accepted for RFE. If what he sent today is indeed an original, not certified, then you should be set.

So I went to igor's list and I saw someone was approved and the first NOA was the same as mine so I checked the uscis website and surprise I just got approved. Very happy. I can't even describe the feeling I still have knowing that Im approved.

Congrats... It's funny this morning I looked at how many of us had the 27th and asked for some extra luck so we could all be approved today... Glad it worked for 2of us. Let's hold hands and skip through NVC together..

Hi feb. Filers..im rhea from march filers. Just drop by here to ask if anyone here from feb. Filers vermont service center already recieved their NOA2? IF YES, WHEN? my hubby and i are so excited to receive ours but we dont have an idea when.. We are still waiting... Coz if feb. Filers from vermont already got theirs...it means march will coming out soon..hopefully.. Just cant wait here... Thanks

I already replied on March filers page, but doesn't hurt to write it again. I was at VSC too with NOA1 of Feb 11. I received NOA2 via email on July 9.
