So I checked our case and 2 has been updated.it reads

On July 20, 2015, we updated your name for your Form I-130, Immigrant Petition for Relative, Fiance(E), or Orphan, Receipt...

What does that mean?

All thanks be to God I just received my approval now for all the 3 petitions.I can't be happy cos I don't still believe it

I was just about to say, there have been others who had the same message as you about updating the name shortly before their case is approved so it must be the way the system updates. Congratulations!

Hey guys my pd was feb 17 I already passed the 5 month mark for a few days when should I call uscis and ask about my case

You can call them now but they will not tell you much and they will not be able to submit a case inquiry for you just yet because they are still within the processing time frame. The typical processing time is between 5-6 months or 180 days to 210 days . After this time you should be able to submit a case inquiry.

To day not a good for me guys!!!!! ??????? Got an RFE smh.... Ugh!!!!!! Someone who's walked in my shoes/have knowledge of this, please help me out!!!!

Oh BHS Mama sorry to hear that! I have gotten an RFE from USCIS before when I was Adjusting status. They didnt tell me anything over the phone and I had to wait for the mail to see what was wrong :( It was something wrong with the medical, the doctor didnt sign it or something. When we went back to get him to sign he was on vacation! I was devastated...Once we get the signature, we sent it over night. Case was a bit delayed but we eventually got our approvals.

It happens girly, you are not the first and you will not be the last...so try not to feel too bad...Even with an RFE you are closer to your loved one than someone who just applied for I130 today..When this process get over.. your immigration story to be with your love will be more interesting. God doesnt give us more than we can bear...You are strong enough to get through this hunny...We are all rootin for you.. ((hugs))

So I spoke to an officer at Dallas office, who tried her best not to give me any info regarding my two cases. (129f & 130)

She eventually told me that the same adjudicator has both cases files since July 10th. No RFE's or any red flags..no idea why he is waiting. She suggested I go home and wait. Lol, really! She wouldn't do a service request, because she didn't like me. Simple as that. They really try to get to the next customer as soon as you sit down. Very little customer service.

Hi all,

I have a question. For those who got your NOA2, how did you get your NVC number? Did you wait for them to send the official letter through regular mail or did you call NVC?
