Less than 30 days after sending aos and Iv docs to nvc, got checklist : NO DS 260!!! as if its our fault... :(

Hi Nath01, so you sent the AOS and IV documents without having the DS-260? We were thinking of doing the same thing...What exactly does the checklist says? Did it tell you to wait again or something, or will they review the documents anyway? The DS-260 online form "not working" really sucks. We're not done with all the documents requirements since we are still waiting on our joint sponsor's needed documents but I am pondering about whether to send the documents as soon as we get it and send without DS-260 too since we don't know when is it really gonna be up and open. But that would be skipping Step 3 and jumping to Steps 4 to 6. Its really so confusing and frustrating...stuck big time! :ranting:

What are you planning to do now?

Latest from us was we got acknowledgement receipt from NVC for our IV payment, (which my husband mailed last June 17) today.

Good luck anyways! Please let me know what you do next. Looks like we're in the same boat.:clock:

We received out NOA2 on June 19th and an update on June 26th that it was sent to NVC. Our NOA1 was February 6th. But every case is different though and depending on where the beneficiary is from they might do more checks, etc.

Now we are waiting to call NVC in about a week to see. Thing is we are missing some documents for our joint sponsor. He sent away for a birth certificate last week but since he is born abroad when his Dad was stationed in the military, it goes to the Department of State and they have to find it in archives...so I am hoping that is fast and before we can send the AOS package....or shortly after....really worried about it all to be honest.

Just calling nvc...they dont seem to know what to do too...except tell us it will be ok soon:(

Problem with NVC is they are not actually government works, they are contractors. So the site that is broken, belongs to the Department of State and it is up to them to fix it. So NVC can't really do anything either....it is messed up they are not putting a higher priority on fixing it higher up though. I mean I know they had the major visa printing issue which I am sure they put all resources on and probably took off of this problem...but this was broken long before this.

Sorry to hear that, thanks for the info. Did you receive any barcoded document sheet before you sent the AOS & IV documents?

Received rfe letter this week. Seriously!!! they say we left out the petitioners passport style photo. Even though the applicants was there and both were listed on the cover page. Probably floating around under someones desk.

Hi, sorry to hear that, but atleast they are looking at your case, is this your second RFE? Your timeline says you received one last month already.

No the same one. It just takes the mail nearly 3 weeks to get to Australia. Still pleased case has been look at and rfe was for something very simple.

Good luck to all of us.

I agree! Let's see how it goes.
