Hi, how's everyone been doing? Although I haven't heard any good news regarding my case, I am happy that I finally got a job here after 3 months of staying home doing nothing. Thank God that I can keep myself busy now. Still missing my husband so bad, though. :crying:

Congratulations! awww, I'm really happy for you. I know with me having a job makes time move faster. So you will see. I'm really eager to be with my husband, he isn't doing very well right now. He suffers from depression and the separation has taken its toll on him. I'm praying for a speedy process with all of us here, I'm not happy at all.

Thank you! Oh no, so sorry to hear that. :( How long has he suffered from that? It's just sad knowing your love one suffering from sickness/depression, yet you can't be there to comfort him/her. I can only pray that all of our cases will get approved fast, especially yours.

It's really hard. Thank you.

He has had it since his teen years. But since we've been together, he has been doing very well. This gap in our lives is the hardest for him. I cry almost every night because no matter how hard I want to hold him, assure him, I can't because I don't even know how long this process will be. It really hurts.

So I called the USCIS this morning and spoke to a very nice lady called Jennifer. I asked her why on the updated processing times at Nebraska on April 13th, there's no longer any I130 listed there. I asked her if it meant that cases are being transfered. She says that uscis sometimes transfer cases to expedite the application. I didn't do a case specific inquiry because I didn't have my receipt number. So if anyone here going through NSC and want to know about a possible transfer, please call and enquire

I called the USCIS yesterday and was told that all she could tell me was that my case was still at Nebraska and could not provide any estimated processing time for I-130 petitions by U.S. citizens for their spouses.

I called my two senator's office directly after that to request assistance. The staff members I spoke to seemed to be interested in this. Perhaps if the Nebraska Service Center receives enough inquiries from congressmen we will see a positive change!

@j-zealous

I told them that the USCIS website no longer lists a processing time for I-130 petitions (U.S. citizen on behalf of spouse) at the Nebraska Service Center, and that this was very troubling, as well as that Nebraska is taking a significantly longer time to process compared to other service centers (i.e. Vermont).

I guess the recent transfers to the CSC might explain the slowdown for those of us there.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/542356-uscis-is-transferring-some-cases-to-balance-workload/

this notice is dated March 26th (around when I was expecting approval), but its been noted that they were already transferring numerous I-130 apps before then to the CSC to better balance the workload. Could explain the overall slowdown there.

Hello everyone. I just called USCIS and they approved my I-130 already. I guess they expedited the process without notifying me. Whew... Waiting on NOA2 hard copy.

Congrats! Any idea why you were expedited?
