my husband does have alot of money in his bank account in his country. but i had the understanding that the immigrant can't use his money to meet the U.S. federal poverty guideline, unless the immigrant's money would be consistent even after he arrives to the U.S. i don't know how to explain it. like he needs to show proof that his money will still be coming to him or that he'll still be earning money from his country, even after he arrives in the U.S. i don't know for sure, but it seems like i read something about this somewhere online in all my research.

Mmm, I see... I'm not really sure about this financial part cause we were fortunate enough to meet the poverty line :/ I don't know... What about like cousins? Like not so close family but still close enough to give you a hand with this...

What about your employer? Are you in good relations with your employer/manager? If you explain the situation can he/she help you? As I said, sorry if this sounds silly but I'm doing brainstorming :)

If he has a lot of money then you can use that as assets I guess. Because assets include savings. But he might have to send that money to you so you can put it in your savings account i think. I hope this idea is useful to you.

Kris, what about assets? You have any assets? Cause you can count those in as well to meet the poverty guideline.

my cousins? no! ha ha. i haven't seen any of my cousins in like 30 years. they're all drug addicts, alcoholics, and in & out of jail half the time. as far as asking my employer, even though i've worked at this company for 15 years, i'm not close to any of my supervisors. i would never ask them. like i mentioned before, people i work with are nice, but very gossipy. i wouldn't trust them. and assets..... i do own my own home, but it's not worth the amount that an asset needs to be. assets need to be 3 times greater than the amount that i'm short of. and my house isn't worth that much, so i really don't have any assets unfortunately.

Hellloo VJ !!

Had Interview today at US embassy delhi. I have a mixed feeling writing here about it. Me and my wife both attended the interview, we entered the embassy at 8 AM and were out by 9 AM. Process at the embassy was fast and very smooth for CR 1 category.

So coming to the Point : interview went well. American lady officer was very nice. Asked very few standard questions like how did u guys meet, how many people attended the wedding, looked at a few pics from our wedding and honeymoon and kept typing smthing on the computer. And then she said Okay Everything Looks Good. And then she handed over the white paper asking for additional silly document that is i need to give additional proof of birth, my birth certificate that i submitted did not have my name on it, coz i was not named yet then. Like now i need to give them an affidavit from my dad or guardian or school leaving certificate clearly mentioning my name and DOB, which i am submitting at VAC New delhi tomorrow. Officer didnt keep my passport. I have to submit my passport and document. Interview went for no more than 5 mins.

So Yes enough said. I dont know the result. I cant say i have been approved or denied m in a limbo. Please god Help ??
