Fingers crossed! I'm not a person of any religion so I don't really pray, but I do hope that we will get our CCs soon :)

As for the interview, for me, i don't think it'll be December, but who knows.

Btw, i've posted in NVC Filers for November as well, but do you guys have any issues contacting NVC lately? I can't manage to get through. I mean, when the time comes to press 1 for English nothing is happening. Then the message in Spanish comes through, I press 1 again for English and still nothing. Then in English i hear this: "You may wish to visit our website @ nvc.state.gov. Good bye"

Did any of you have this problem in the past or maybe recently?

I haven't called them recently, I last called them in September and didn't have problems getting through. You should try calling just as they open and then before they close, you are more likely to get through that way.

Hi just wanna ask both birth certificate of the couple should be submitted? Im scared that i didnt submit my husband's cert.

Who is the beneficiary? Your husband or you? Beneficiary should bring original birth cert to interview. Just bring copy of the petitioners (US Citizen) birth cert to interview in case they ask. For NVC, you don't have to submit petitioner's birth cert.

Hello February filers. Happy TGIF Here is the a review from my wife's consular interview yesterday for the February Filers that are still waiting for their interviews. We got to the parking lot around 7 Am and our appointment was at 9 Am. We waited until 8:10Am before my wife went inside. I was not allow to enter the embassy as they said it was prohibited for US Citizens to enter the immigrant section of the embassy. That was fine by me. I handed over my passport to her. She went in and I returned back to the parking lot where others were waiting for their love ones. My wife came out at 11:41 Am with the orange slip of paper with appointment date of November 13th for her to pick up her passport. She said the CO was very friendly and nice. My wife had 2 binders and about 4 legal size envelopes. My wife said in a joking way she was asked if she had enough papers to share with everyone. My wife carried in a lot of documents but at the end they only accepted the originals of the requested documents and receipts. My wife was asked few simple questions.

1. How many children I have and their names

2. Where do the children live

3 has she met the children

4. Where did we meet

5. When did we get married

6. Why did we get married so soon after meeting each others

7. What do I do for work

8.have I been divorce

My wife said the CO appears to be checking her answers against information on the screen

Finally my wife said the CO told her everything is OK with him I guess referring to me and that her visa is approved. Praise God and we give God all the glory for bringing about a successful conclusion to our 9 months visa journey. My wife's advice is that for those going for the interview to be yourself. Try not to be nervous and be confidence with your answers. Organize your document so you do not fumble with papers in front of the CO. Be direct with your answers and make your answers short. If English is not your first language and you don't understand English well ask for an interpreter. My wife said one lady said she understood English but she was giving wrong answers to every question but luckily an interpreter walked by and overheard the lady giving a totally different and wrong answer to a question asked. The interpreter stepped in and save the day and the lady's interview was restarted but only this time with an interpreter. So please don't be embarrassed to ask for help. Be friendly and smile back when they smile at you.

Hope this will help someone out there. Good luck for those that have interviews today. God bless you all. Have a wonderful and safe weekend

Hey guys, my wife had her interview on the 4th, the interview went well and she was in the room for no more than 5-6 minutes as I waited outside. The co told us our only issue was with our marriage certificate. The buku nikah they issue for Muslim weddings are in both English and Indonesian but the information wasn't in English (duhhh) the good thing was the co said we could just get it translated and send it out to them by email by the next day Thursday. I'm happy to say after looking at the ceac website our visa status has went from AP to Issued and now are just waiting to pick up my wife's passport from the rpx drop off location. It was a tense last few days but I'm glad that everything went well and my wife and I can go back to Seattle together next week and we just enjoy the rest of our vacation here :) thanks to all the vjers its been a long time coming for myself and my wife, hoping everyone gets their approvals soon and will be able to spend the holidays with their loved ones!

We were approved! I am so happy (L)

I do not have good access to internet now so I will post later with more detail, but it feels like it wasn't even an interview. It felt like they made the decision even before the interview started - there were only 5 very basic questions:

1) How did you meet?

2) When did you meet?

3) What do you do for a living?

4) What does your husband do for a living?

5) Have you met his family?

I wish everybody a wonderful weekend.

For those still waiting, your time will come soon. Don't lose hope.

Your support here has made this journey a lot easier, thank you a lot.
