I just check it out now but seriously the whole service center is just not encouraging at all. Let's just put our hope in God and keep praying for a speedy processing so that we can be with our love ones soon.

The difference overall is very significant. Why can't they send them to offices with lower times like Vermont?

They seem to be sending most of the petitions for IR-1 / CR-1 to NSC.

Who knows why.

Hi all!

We sent our documents on February 24 with expedited shipping and were really surprised to get NOA1 already on February 27. We were transferred to Nebraska Service Center, and I wasn't happy to see their processing times.

I've been doing a bit of research and apparently the Service Centers are specialized in some specific forms: for example, Nebraska Service Center usually gets most of the i-130s, Texas Service Center gets the i-129fs, while California Service Centers get the cases filed from abroad...

One question: we got a SMS and emails with our receipt number, but when I tried to track it in the USCIS website, it said they couldn't recognize it yet. My guess is that my documents are being transferred to Nebraska right now and I will only be able to see information about my case in a few days when they start processing it?

Good luck to us all! May the Nebraska processing times be magically reduced in the next few months! ;)

Congrats on getting started. I too Im hoping for a miracle and Nebraska will pick up the pace. Im also hearing people talking about daca or the deferred action residents needing to renew soon. Im praying those dont go to Nebraska cause those extra applications might slow up the process for us too.

These processing times at the TSC are saying that permanent residents petition for their relatives are taking a lot less time than citizens petition for immediate relatives. They're still processing July cases for July 2014 for citizens while PR application are being adjudicated in 5 months

Wow that report is no joke.

errg... not in a good mood today. Here I thought I would be on this forum repeatedly throughout this process, bitching about the inefficiencies and sheer lunacy of the US Immigration system.

Nope!

Looks like its not the US system that struck the first blow, its the Venezuela government. President here, in an ongoing chest hair measuring contest with the US, just ordered the US Embassy here to cut its staff from 100 down to 17..... SEVENTEEN!!!!

I've been to the embassy here. it's BIG. It would take 17 people just to man the gates, doors, etc!

I know it's early, but I don't even want to think about the interview appointment now... ...

I see people here going through Nebraska getting approvals within the 5 months timeframe currently. Texas is giving approvals in less than 4 months for i-130.

Yeah there are not many within 5 months though. Most are closer to 6.

When we sent out application we thought Texas was the slowest, we were praying for not Texas...didn't even think of Nebraska....so we got Nebraska...and seemingly are at the worst possible center.

Sucks... :ranting:

Hi guys! My husband sent our I-130 petition last Feb 9 and got an email that they already accepted our case and forwarded to Nebraska. When they gave us the case number is it considered as NOA1? Thanks. Good luck to all of us.
