Hi all,

Just to tell you my story... remember when I saw my third N/A just 10 days after sending my documents? I called NVC and they said that yes, they reviewed my documents, but I had to wait a little bit because my daughter's case was not reviewed yet.

So I called the NVC over and over and they eventually reviewed my daughter's case a couple of days later - third N/A for her as well.

But then, I never got a CC letter - or an interview, even though Brazil is not a busy embassy.

So I started calling them and I ended up figuring out the problem was that I applied with Electronic Processing. With EP, apparently, they do not send physical documents to the embassy, but they send the files electronically. And for some reason, my case was stalled because they did not scan my I-130 they received from the USCIS.

My husband and I bothered them so much I eventually got the direct line of the person responsible for this - but after I talked to her it took 14 days to have it scanned. She said they have buckets of 5,000 I-130s to be sorted out (-not lying-).

The good news is, yesterday I got my real CC - that was exactly 35 days after my scan date.

I'm going to try to talk to moderators and get this information known to all - I thought applying through Electronic Processing would make things easier for the NVC, but apparently they are not ready for it. My case was stalled for more than 25 days after documents review just because there was no one to scan my I-130. Come to think of it, it's pathetic.

So, if you know anyone who's considering applying with Electronic Processing, advise them against it. I know a few others from Brazil and Canada who are in the same situation as me.

Right now I am only hoping I will get an interview in Rio soon! I can't wait to finally be with my husband - this year has just been too rough.

Thank you everyone for your prayers.. We finally heard some news from NVC, actually got the IV and AOS bill on the 28th, paid on the 29th... So excited. Thanking God!

I'm glad to hear that! It's good that you can pay the two fees at once. Hopefully that means the NVC will be expediting your case to make up for it. Keep us posted!

So, I've Heard and seen a lot of people talking about that infamous "Affidavit of Support Fee" go from "Paid" to "N/A", which makes a total of Three "N/A"'s. I logged on to the CEAC website just now and saw just that. Could it really be a Case Complete or could it still be that they want/need more information? I'm about to pass out I Think..!!

Hihi, that's awesome! Congrats! It looks like a CC to me :)

May I ask what was your scan date?

I sure hope so! Waking my husband up in half an hour so he can call and see what's going on!

Hmm, we got emails saying they received everything on September 8, and when my husband called they said that by October 10 we will have an answer whether inte a CC or if we need to send any additional information. So I guess scan date is September 8? :)

On the plus side, 35 days after your scan date, both cases are done! Hope you get a quick interview :)

Congratulations! Hope you get an interview date soon. Our scan dates are 9th September but we have 3 cases so I'm expecting to wait a tad longer than people with single cases. You've made me hopeful it won't be long, though!
