My husband has decided that our lawyers haven't been very helpful and will be moving with NVC process without them, I'm happy he finally saw what I've been saying.

NVC still hasn't received our paperwork.

My husband got to speak to a Tier 2 supervisor today and was told that the number of days a case can be sent to NVC has changed to 90 as they are experiencing delays, but he did a service request for him.

So now we wait, I also sent an email to nvc investigate.

I think you guys will be better off without lawyers.. the process is pretty simple when it's laid out in wiki's and there is live support in this group. Good luck on hearing response back from the service request!

If you guys have any questions specifically for me,

I will be glad to help via private message.

That's a good decision! I don't think lawyers are necessary as long as you don't have immigration problem in the past. You can do all the steps at NVC all yourself in your pace. Hope you'll hear good response from NVC soon!

Just an update here for fellow Feb filers.

We have paid all fees and completed all forms online and sent off our IV and AOS packages on Tuesday. My husband called NVC yesterday to see if they had received them, and good thing he did because they don't have it marked that they have received our IV fees for any of our 3 cases. The man on the phone said he would send that to a supervisor to be sorted out as the money has left my husband's account. He seemed to think it would be easy to fix and that we shouldn't have any delays because of it, but we'll probably call back next week to check on it.

He also said that our documents weren't in the system yet but that they should be by Monday. However, I had emails this morning for all of our cases to say they have been received on the 9th September and that we should allow 30 days from then for the documents to be reviewed.

So it all seems to be moving along, keep smiling everyone, we are all getting closer!

i had the same problem they took the IV fees money from my bank but the system never updated you need to tell them to fix it, is a system error.

after they put a service request for me it only took 48 hours to show as paid.

make sure they put a service request.

Thanks for the advice, we were told it was being sent to a supervisor, is that the same as a service request? We are going to call NVC in the morning to check and see whether they have dealt with it yet or not, so if that's a different thing I'll be sure to request it.

is different the operator explained to me as a software issue, he knew exactly what it was and he was right because a couple days after the request it show as paid.

Yea ours said it was something that happened with the system sometimes and that a supervisor would be able to sort it out quickly. We'll call tomorrow but if it hasn't been sorted then I'll ask for the service request, thank you :)

Hello everyone,

I am little confused about the Poverty guideline.

I am under the impression that Sponsor's Household Size of 2 needs to make $19,912 at a minimum. Am I right?

Thank you for the help, guys.

Hi there! Yes, that would be correct, if you're not from Alaska/Hawaii (those 2 states have different poverty minimum)

I really wish they wouldn't play with my emotions.

Woke up to my phone going off at 5am with not one but two messages saying my case status has been updated. Took me a minute to remember that I already left USCIS and any further approval would come from NVC. Logged into both USCIS and NVC and no changes made so I don't know why I got those messages.

I really thought this was my approval and I was one of the lucky 16 day people. Arrrggghhhhh

I got text messages this morning from NSC for both of my cases about updates. I figured it was nothing important, and after checking on uscis, I don't see a difference either.

No worries, have a great day

Hi everyone,

Like all of you, I've been awaiting my CC too, and have been checking the CEAC website almost every hour and hoping to see that special N/A next to AOS fee, but it just continues to show PAID, so I've decided to not check the website until Friday....let's see how that goes!! I also am hopeful for that quick CC many are having, getting it after three weeks after their scan date. Although, I'm not nearly there yet, but was hoping to get it before the 3 week mark? haha, I could only hope.

Let's all just be patient and hope for the best. And pray for no checklist....oh God please help us all!
