I have learned a lot following your progress through this complicated system of ours. Praying that all goes well and goes smoothly. My AOS packet is complete, just waiting on two items for the IV packet and I am ready.

Hi all,

I managed to get the CC yesterday for my daughter too. We called three times and practically begged to speak to a supervisor. My daughter's documents were already reviewed, all they needed to do was to review her DS-260, and it took them only a couple of minutes.

Thank you for everybody here who has been so nice and given me loads of support.

To be honest, I felt kind of ashamed to get a CC so early. I was expecting it some 10 days from now. But I have a theory about what happened: NVC made a mistake on my first name - on August 19, I sent them an email asking them to fix it. They never replied. My husband got a letter from them dated last Thursday (September 3) stating that they updated my address/email - I am assuming this is their way of saying they fixed my name.

So I assume that when they corrected my name, they took a look at my documents and DS-260, and that's how I got CC so early. Who would have thought that a mistake from their part might have made me so lucky.

Anyway, now I am rooting for all of you to get your CCs too. Thank you for everything - this forum has helped me tremendously (L)

2015-10-16: Received email for scan date of 2015-10-12. Told that basically nothing can be done and we need to wait 30 days from 2015-10-12 (30+ days lost because they lost our emails)

2015-10-26: Told case is basically complete but that they are building my electronic file. Told there is no timeline for this.

2015-10-30 & 2015-11-13: Still told no update. Building electronic file still and no timeline.

2015-11-17: Case Complete

2015-12-03: Receive packet 4

2015-12-15: Medical

2015-12-18: Medical picked up results

2016-01-12: Interview - Approved!

2016-02-03: POE

Update: just submitted the DS-260 and I am so nervous that I have made any errors or misunderstood something... Please keep your fingers crossed this will go well... On the contrary, it's a relief to finally have everything sent in and submitted. It's kind of out of our hands until we get a checklist or a case complete. I think I want to throw up, lol...

Hi,

I'm sorry you went through that. I was also in doubt... we need to treat them as separate cases and send duplicate documents indeed.

Do you think they'll issue you a checklist? Or are you sending everything immediately?

The good news is that after your wife's case is CC, you'll have better leverage to ask them to look at your daughter's. In my case, my impression is that only reviewing my documents was enough - after I got my CC, the only thing pending on my daugther's case was the DS-260 review. It took us a few attempts, but we eventually reached a supervisor and they released her case in a couple of minutes.

i send them a new package with all the documents for my daughter today it should arrive tomorrow, i don expect any delays with my daughter,

I'm not really sure about my wife because they told me that i should not mention my daughter on my wife's affidavit form but since they have her documents since august 31 ill wait for them to review it and hope for no checklist.

fingers cross that i don't have to sent any more documentation.

Me too... Like I'm terrified of a Check list but I finally can stop calling NVC everyday.

HI everyone! We sent our AOS and IV package and it got delivered to the NVC on September 8,2015 according to USPS tracking. Does anyone know how we'll find out if NVC has received it? Should I call NVC or do they email us? Thanks!

I also recommend calling NVC. That's the only way I found out; even though they have my email address, I never got an email to confirm my scan date.

It's just becoming totally draining for us. Especially 2 hen people that got approved after us are ahead, I'm frustrated, won't even lie.
