Hello eveyone. Pls help me this. I need find out cos my husband will file i-864 soon

Well, my husband has low income. He need a joint sponsor and it will be his friend who living in different address.

Will the joint sponsor file i-864 and his wife need to file any form?(example i-864a)?

If your joint sponsor filling 1040 jointly with his wife then yes. I have read that if your joint sponsor making majority of income then there is no need. But in my case my joint sponsor's wife had filled. I 864A because they were filling their tax jointly. Also you need to send w2s eployment proof and tax proof of all 3 people who are helping you in AOS. In case of your joint sponsor, if he is using 1040 then he has to use line 22 in PART 6 of 13.a. for all 3 year tax 2013, 2012 and 2011. Plus exactly same financial digits of Part 6 13.a, b, c will reflect on part 11 of I864A

So if he made enough income for all of us, and they file tax seperate then the Wife no need file any form, right

Well Even though my father in law making enough income still I asked my mother in law to file I-864 A. It is better to get it donr rather than facing checklist. Because they are filling 1040 jointly.
