Firstly, this is a GREAT site!! Bravo to the launchers!

My questions are (I will make it really simple):

Me: from Canada

Fiance: from USA

Current stage: Received NOA2 - Jan 25, 2007

a) Is there any thread(s) for Montreal Embassy/Consulate?

B) Is there any thread(s) for Canada Vs US K1 applicants ? I am looking for Motreal Consulate experiences, interview questions, any strange items/Keep-in-mind checklist for the Consulate, etc?

c) I have not received my Packet3 nor the medical request as of yet (Received NOA2 - Jan 25, 2007). I was going through the designated Toronto doctors/physicians website (Dr. Seiden at http://www.panelphysicians.com/index.htm) and noted that the vaccinations requirements are that you need to have the below taken already or started as soon as possible if you have not had them:

-Tetanus Diphtheria (Td),

-Chicken Pox

-Mumps, Measles, German Measles (Rubella) - MMR

Can I start some of the vaccinations/shots even before I receive the Packet3 / medical request?

Appreciate all assistance. Thanks

Hi sapa..........and welcome.

Have a look on the Canada forum as well as well as the embassy link at the top of the page.

Montreal is not the fastest consulate on the planet , trust me, so settle in for a bit of a wait. If you haven't already , soon you will receive a letter from the NVC saying they received your file and are forwarding it to the consulate in Montreal. 1- 3 weeks later you should be receiving your packet 3 from Montreal. The letter from the consulate will suggest an interview can be scheduled anywhere from 2-4 months from the time they receive your file at their office, but be prepared it could be more like 4-5 months. Regarding your immunizations , yes you can see your own doctor and be sure your shots are up to date.

Good Luck to ya and see you in the Canada forum!!!
