Can DCF filing time be extended?

I have heard that the 125% of poverty income raises on the 1st of March of each year.

I meet the income requirements now, but just barely.

If I start the process before March 1st, how long can I stretch out the process?

I am asking because of Bills that need to be paid off before we leave the Philippines and to set up housing in the US.

I understand that it will take about 12 weeks because my wife has to get a police clearance from Hong Kong, where she worked as an OFW. But we may need another 4 to 6 weeks more to get everything finished here.

That's a pretty tough question I guess... No response or answers.

Ok.. We filed the I-130 today 2/11/2015.

I'll try to keep up with the step by date. DCF filed in Manila, Philippines

They took all the paperwork, but not the pictures. She did have to have a copy and original of both our childrens birth certificate thou. I wasn't expecting that, but we had them with us. We have learned here in the Philippines that whatever is required will not be enough so take extra documents and never throw away receipts for anything related to immigration or housing.

Hi!When hubby and I filed,we barely met it too.By about $500 .As long as you meet it you're fine.I feel you.We had to do everything in less than 2 months not including the plane tickets from my province to Manila.I wish you the best!
