What is the best time to call? Please help

My luck with NVC getting through fast has been brief (only a few times) but I always called between 8:00pm and 10:00pm (both Eastern time). Later at night seems to be a good time. Definitely not around lunch time and many people have stated even early in the morning is a bad time. No matter the time I chose though I had to call them back at least 10-25 times before I was able to even get in the queue. Both times I finally spoke with an agent I was on hold for 45 minutes before I spoke to someone.

Yeah, avoid 9-12 Nevada time. I'd also recommend calling when they open since I usually only had to wait 20 minutes (versus the "normal" 40), but that's 4 AM in Nevada, soooo I don't think that's really an option for him unless he works unusual hours.

Yes, that is the correct number.

If you receive a message about "Due to high call volume..." just hang up and retry - the system boots you off anyways after a few minutes. Once you receive a message other than that you can keep going.

I always call when they first open it is 6 am time for me and have always gotten thru except today, because they was close and did not let the public know .So when you call you got the usually recording and music playing instead of we are close, IN Nevada as someone else posted that might be too early. just try different times and see what works for you. most likely you will have to call them more then one time to find out stuff

Is it okay if he email the nvc regarding our case number? Or just call them. Which is way convenient for us to know our case number????

It takes NVC a month or more to reply to e-mails. The embassy is more likely to contact you before NVC does.
