Anyone being processed at MSC (Missouri Service Center)

Just got email notification that MSC will be processing I-130, I-485, I-131 and I-765.

But, when I went to MSC web site, it appears they do not process I-130 and I-485.

Anyone else being processed at MSC ?

Yes, I am and sent the same things you did as well and have the same response, all I can say is I sent them all in and they were received on 26th dec, I have done my biometrics and now I'm just waiting.

Hi Mayfield, the MSC is called NBC (National Benefits Center) and seems to operate completely different from the 4 other regular processing centers in CA, TX, NE and VT.

Anything bad about being sent to MSC-NBC that you know of?

Our I-130 was recently transferred from the Texas Service Center to the National Benefits Center. I started a thread about that hoping for some answers as I also could not find any reliable information on processing times for those petitions or reasons it might have been sent there. I didn't get much response so I'm guessing no one really knows! My transfer said it was to speed up processing so I'm hoping it's a good thing.

Normal load leveling. As one center *cough* TSC *cough* becomes overwhelmed, they will shift applications to other service centers and even local offices.

My case according to the USCIS is there and unfortunately I don't have good news.

I sent my paperwork in February and they received it in March the 3rd everything was going according to the normal procedures until I received a letter from National benefit Center telling me that I was a potencial interview waiver, I received this letter back in June 2014. They stated a delay for workload factors not related to my case and asked for 6 more months.

Today I have waited 8 months after I received that letter, I have also sent a request that my case is outside of the processing time and I received the same letter in January (Apparently an answer from my request that I sent in November) but this time the letter doesn't say how long I need to wait.

I truly hope none of you have to wait or go through this and that you can get your case out of there or a responsible office can resolve your case in a timely manner.

Ny the way, they are processing my I-485.

Yes you are. You're adjusting status based on marriage to a US citizen.

We have two sub forums here: This one is for Work, Student and Tourist AOS.

The other sub forum is for Family based AOS.

Correct.

K visa adjustment applicants get some perks, like sometimes not needing an AoS interview, or not needing an I-130 to be filed. It's still a family-based adjustment though, because you're eligible through a family member (in this case: a spouse).

finally status changes to case ready to be scheduled for interview i have been checking every hour since i did my bio metrics last week.

so happy that I don't have an rfe, no just for them to get my EAD ready my wife is pregnant and I want to stat working ASAP to carry the burden off her.

I hope all of you waiting will get your cases ready for interview very soon too.

You can receive an RFE an the interview or even after it, on rare occasions.

oh really, I thot they did all those before the interview,

ok then will just have to keep my fingers crossed that I dont get one later, I know i sent everything in and my sponsor meets the poverty guidelines so hopefully I wont have any issues

So will the speed of my case processing depend on how well NBC works or how well my local office works?

It actually makes me sad looking at the timelines of the field office in Portland
