I Did my money order at amscot and they only let me put maximum $1000 on a money order so will uscis accept the $1070 fee as $1000 money order and $70 on another money order? But sent together?

03/24/2017 - Date Of Biometrics Letter (Day 4)

03/30/2017 - Date I Received Biometrics Letter (Day 10)

04/14/2017 - Actual Biometrics Appointment @ 10 AM (Day 25)

Never Received  - NOA 

01/18/2018 - I-551 Stamp (Day 305)

06/26/2018 - Case was transferred to NSC. (Day 463)

08/03/2018 - Received 18 month extension letter. (Day 501)

09/01/2018 - Submitted N400! (Day 530)

 

N-400 Citizenship 

Permanent Resident Since: 05/20/2015

It should be ok as long as you make them out to Uscis and make sure you spell it out, no abbreviations

06/02/2015-Called Service Center (still no NOA1) Service request found out wrong address on paperwork! :(

06/03/2015-Called to get address updated Ar11 online add change didnt work-got infopass for June 10th

06/10/2015-Went to info pass appt. Hubby got a 1yr. Extension stamp in his passport and biometrics done

08/12/2015-ROC Approved. Got letter in the mail.

08/29/2015-received new card in the mail.

Yes, quite a few people have needed to split the money order amounts. You can also have them made out as one for the form fee of $985 and one for the biometrics fee of $85. As long as it comes out to the correct $1070 total together, it is fine.

Also, the above is incorrect. Do not make them out to the USCIS. Follow the I-485 instructions and make them payable to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
