He did, indeed. Now ISIS wants our boys and military resources over there - preferrably creating more civilian collateral damage. At least they think they think they do. I think they miscalculated with the Jordanian pilot they burned - against the literal teaching of the Quran (as I understand) which leaves fire exclusively for God to use as punishment. Either way, they're managing right now to unify much of the Arabian peninsula against them and that - along with their general megalomania - is what's going to do them in. No need for us to get all too involved.

They want to exacerbate anti Muslim sentiment in the West to create more extremism and get recruits for their cause. That's the purpose of these videos. Interesting that the pilot was probably killed months ago and the person they asked to be released was an obscure failed suicide bonner from before ISIL existed.
