OLD PASSPORTS?

While at the interview, everything was going great. I was asked questions and answered them precisely. He even made me say the oath and almost congratulated me, but then he asked for old passports. I was like old passports? I am here trying to figure out what the hell does old passports have to do with the visa process when it was never specified any where that they were needed. I discarded these old passports a long time ago and only have my valid one. Should I be concerned, and if anybody is in the know, will this have a negative effect on me getting a visa?? Someone please help us!

Neither myself (K-1) nor my daughter (K-2) were ever asked for our old passports at any point in the process.

Did they say you were approved at the end of your interview? If not, what did they tell you?

I was given a form which stated that additional information was needed. This additional information being the passports. The form did not say approve or denied but that it is pending until this information is provided. They then gave me a new day to go back.

Were the entry/exit stamps for the trips to Belize in the old passport? I think they wanted to see the pages in the US Citizen passport showing dates of travel to and from Belize. Or if you visited the USA, that they wanted to see those pages in the passport showing those trips.

Well I have no idea how I am suppose to provide them with somn I dont have, which is why I am perplexed. I told him that I may have it at home but I am really not sure. So I dont know what his angle was with the whole passport thing, and what the point of asking me for old passports have to do with my present visa application
