Hi Everyone

i just want to find out something regarding the affidavit of support. My fiance is currently in between job but he met the 2014 and past 3 years poverty guidelines having been making above 34k a year. He quit his job over the holidays and he is currently interviewing for a new one. We are at the NVC stage right now waiting for them to assign a case number and then send it over to the embassy. If by some chance my interview comes up before he finds a job will it be an issue that would lead to denial? Am stressing so much about this

Thank you in advance for your answers :)

Yeah, since he's currently unemployed, it might be difficult for you. Does he have sufficient savings or other types of assets?

Thank you for the replies. I guess we will just wait for him to get a new job before we schedule the interview. I dont expect it to take long to get one..the CSC just moved at break neck speed than we had anticipated.

I, too, have a question regarding the affidavit-not to hijack the thread-but I currently have a personal mutual fund and profit sharing through my employment. Would this fall under the stocks and bonds category? And if so, should I just send a monthly statement as an attachment to my fiance?

Is the mutual fund part of a retirement plan such as a 401(K) or IRA? Or just a regular investment? If the latter, yes, it would fall under stocks and bonds. I have no idea about profit sharing.

And if you have sufficient income, you don't have to provide info or documentation of the mutual fund.

Yeah, it's just a regular investment-wanted to make more money instead of collecting pennies at the bank. Thanks for the help!
