Hello All,

I have tried to search for this topic on VJ but was not able to find one. So starting a new thread. Please help me.

I am the sponsor and my wife is the beneficiary. She has been approved CR1 on January 13th. I was employed until then. But Jan 23th I lost my job. I can file for unemployment benefits. But someone told me that since I have sponsored my wife it will effect her green card. She will be entering US on 25th Feb.

Question1: will there be any problems at the port of entry.

Question 2: Can I file for my unemployment benefits now? if so what will be the issues we can face.

Question 3. Will it be better for me wait until she reaches US before I file for unemployment.

I am really sorry for so many questions. Was a little worried hence shooting all at the same time. Any help is appreciated.
