My husband (the immigrant) and I have our adjustment of status interview in Buffalo on February 17. We are gathering our evidence and are very confident that it proves we are in the most loving and genuine marriage, but our evidence is not exactly traditional and we are slightly worried it won't be enough for USCIS. Just some background (sorry for the overkill):

My husband (from Australia) and I (from Oregon and planning to move to Australia for the past three years) met in April 2012 on a pen-pal website. We spent two weeks together in Canada in February 2013. I moved to Melbourne on a working holiday visa at the end of March 2013 and moved in with my husband and his friend right away. My husband was granted a K-1 visa in January 2014, we arrived together in the US in February, and got married in April. We lived in Oregon with my mother from February until December, at which point we flew to New York City and spent two weeks with my husband's mother and a week alone. We then traveled to Rochester, NY, where we have been house-sitting since January 1 and will be until about April 1. We are going on a two-month holiday (which my husband planned to be a surprise) to Ireland and Poland on April 8. We expect to live with my mother again afterward while picking up more house-sitting assignments every so often.

So, given all that, here is the traditional evidence we don't have:

-a lease, utilities, or a phone bill
-insurance of any kind
-credit cards or loans of any kind

However, we have all the following evidence:

-a joint bank account we have had since May 2014
-likely 100 or so quality photos of us together
-a few photos of us with our in-laws
-tickets and boarding passes for all our previous trips together and the itinerary for our upcoming trip
-a photographic daily blog we have been keeping since January 1, 2014, in which we thoroughly write about our daily lives for our own remembrance
-a sworn affidavit from my mother stating we lived with her during the above dates and expect to live with her again in June 2015
-a sworn affidavit from the couple for whom we are house-sitting, stating that we are house-sitting for them during the above dates

We also have this evidence (though it is more a fact than something we can realistically physically provide):

-almost 17,000 photos of our life together

-we spend nearly all our time together and our lives are completely intertwined

Given our entire future is in the hands of the officer who interviews us, we are just looking for some closure from fellow, experienced VJ members. Thanks!

The joint bank account is a good thing.

If you haven't yet, another good thing would be to file taxes now, and show evidence at the interview

Do you have anything else that shows you at the same address? Such as drivers licenses with the same address, or even separate cell phone bills but with the same address, or cards congratulating you on your wedding addressed to both of you.

What about jobs, does either of you have/ had a job and can show evidence that you listed your spouse on the "next of kin" form or something?

Thanks so much for your suggestions! Yes, we have thought about filing taxes jointly before the interview and just may do so. I don't drive and my husband doesn't yet have his American driver's license. We could get state IDs but we are not technically residents of New York and won't be back in Oregon until June, so that's not an option either. Neither of us have a cell phone so we don't have any cell phone bills.

Our wedding was very private and there were only a few guests in attendance so we only have one card that was sent to us, but it is addressed to us both. The other congratulatory messages are in the form of emails and Skype calls.

I do freelance work online so there are no forms on which I can list my husband.

Consider crafting wills, medical powers of attorney, and similar documents. These are excellent evidence for AOS interviews (and for ROC), and they're even more valuable to have in "life."

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
