Had my medical in London on Thursday (5th February). No further information requested and results going to Embassy. How long to wait until interview? (merged)

Hi guys

I had my medical on Thursday at Knightsbridge Doctors. The senior physician was happy with the information I gave him about a small overdose I took in 2013, and the receptionist called me to say I didn't need to submit anything more than the doctor's letter I gave them. I know my chest X-ray is clear (the radiographer confirmed this) and I don't have any diseases because I was tested a week ago by my GP.

With this in mind, how long (based on current waiting times) do you think it will be before I receive the interview letter/actually attend the interview?

I KNOW they say to wait six weeks, but does anyone know anything more specific with regard to the current timescales?

After the medical you have to wait three working days before they send the results to the embassy, if you didn't get a phone call you know you passed it.

Once the embassy has your medical results and you have completed the only DS form they will send you an interview date which is usually dated a month from getting your readiness form.

So you will probably have your interview around the 7/8/9 or 10th March.

The letter comes 1-2 weeks after the results and readiness are received usually.

Start gathering the required documents, police certificates, finances income etc etc.

I've looked at a lot of timelines, most people had a 2-3 week wait for their letter after their medical and their interview was around 3 weeks away after receiving the letter. Someone really did have to wait 6 weeks, but I didn't see anything more than that. There's quite a few UKers right now twiddling thumbs and waiting for a letter, myself included!

I think most people's interviews are about four weeks after their medical at the moment

Awesome - thanks for all the advice, everyone. I checked the CEAC website and our case status was updated yesterday. Do you think that means they've received the results from the medical?
