Okay so I know there are threads on here with the steps that come with the fiancee visa however.. I came across a site the other day that went into such detail and I didn't save it. So anyone have a link or a step by step guide that they go by?

It was not on VJ it was another website.

When I say detailed I mean extremely detailed step by step.. from the submitting the application to getting approved.

It went into detail of what documents are needed during each packet, it went into timelines during the different stages, It was so detailed it was probably written for dummies and when it comes to me applying for a VISA I am a Dummy. I stress about everything and this site would make it so easy. It was as if someone was actually holding your hand sitting right next to you.

So anyone have a link or site they have found to be VERY useful not just for the list of documents needed to submit the actual Application but one that goes through the entire process from beginning to end??

This is a DIY site. Read the GUIDES at the top of the page. If you have questions, ask by posting. Lots of members will help you but you have to understand the process for yourself.

Move thru the site. Lots of info sitting around. Good luck!

Look in your browser history, it will show it and let us know.

BOILER- I found it while at work and our history is deleted when we shut down at the end of the day. ;-( I will try to find it tomorrow but in the meantime for anyone who might be interested I have come up with some links one is from VJ it shows the steps but not the details I was looking for.. still very helpful to those who want to know the steps and or wait times.

http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow

Then there is this site that goes through the steps and what documents are needed after each step..

I had no issues preparing our packets and supporting documents by reading through the detailed guides through VJ, reading the forums and by visiting the USCIS pages and embassy pages for where my fiance would be interviewing. The petition is fairly straightforward, it's just a lot of gathering documents. No matter where you are looking up information, USCIS and the embassy can change their procedures or forms at any time, so you'll want to make sure you have the most up to date information before proceeding. As I said, no issues in our submission. We were approved on the first leg of the journey after 199 days (only because Texas Service Center is ridiculously backlogged and slow) without an RFE (Request for Evidence).

If you spend some time reading through all the guides and the information on your fiance's embassy site, the USCIS site and the guides through VJ, you shouldn't have much issue understanding the process or knowing what items you need to gather.

Good luck

I found everything I needed here on VJ, and from what I read here not all consulates have the same requirements for the interview, as an example some allow a DS160 to be filed on-line, the consulate for my finace's particular country doesn't give instruction to file it on-line rather to bring the form to the interview, and they do not issue a packet 3 only a 4. My fiance and I on not even at that stage yet, but I found out here reading the embassy/consular reviews. Although the site you mention provides instructions (general), I prefer to find out detailed specifics that are required here on VJ because I can find information specifically for the country in which the process will go through.

Don't get me wrong I love VJ and everything on here is very useful. I only wanted to see if there was some type of list to go by that was detailed showing step by step. Now for looking up my embassy info there is no tab for Cuba/Havana?? Am I looking in the wrong place on here?
