Adm Processing has no time frame, however most of the cases I saw went under AP took from 2 to 4 weeks. I am talking about IR1/CR1 visa. Not sure if it is different for K-1 visa.

My fiancé went in today and had the interview. They took her passport and they told her that they will let her know. I checked the NVC case status right after she went out and I found that they put her under administrative processing.

Does anyone know what does that mean and how long is the wait?

As someone said before, there's not timeline/time frame for AP, but it's a good sign they took her passport and all cases go into AP after the interview. I believe it goes from AP to "Issued" if you're approved.... if not, I think it says "refused"....

But it's a good sign they took her passport...

GOOD LUCK and good vibes being sent your way.... :)

Thank you. I hope this is a good sign. I don't think it will take long till they reply either. They can't have her passport and hold her from traveling anywhere for a long time right?

Did anyone had the same incident?

If you don't mind me asking... when did the embassy receive your (her) packet 3 and when did they call her for the interview (your timeline doesn't reflect that)?

We're trying to get an idea where they are right now. When we emailed them about a week ago, they said they were working on (scheduling) mid-January submitted cases.

I would also maybe look at some of the K1 visa members and see how their process was on the reviews. I've also personal messaged some folks to get an idea of exactly how the process worked.

Thanks!!

Sure, they received it on December 29. 3 months ago exactly.

I'm very nervous tho. I don't understand why wouldn't they tell her the results right away? Why is it requiring more stress and hassle?

We knew about it March 1st actually.

If you have links for an incident like mine, please send it to me

Did the Cairo Embassy stop scheduling interviews again.. Did any body get their interview scheduled.. specially those how has CC on Feb or March?..

We're doing the K1 visa (fiance visa) and the embassy received our "Packet 3" (case) on Jan. 21, 2015. When I emailed the a little over a week ago, they said they're working on mid-January cases. That's all I know as of now. :(

Anyone that is awaiting a K1 visa interview (or just interested in all the interviews done at the Cairo Embassy) there is a new review submitted today. I feel so bad for that couple and what happened to them was out of line and very wrong. I pray they get their visa. (((They kept his passport so that's a good sign))).

I can't believe they ask questions like that. I don't understand why they treat Egyptian relationships this way. This entire process has been demeaning and humiliating. I can't wait until it's over! I hope those individuals file a report about the consular officer's behavior. It's an interview, not an interrogation. This is inappropriate.

I couldn't believe that either.... Just terrible. I believe they're (the couple that posted the review) going to try to do something after they're process is over. And you're right.. they'd NEVER ask an American that question... Just terrible.

I have actually heard stories of them asking even more personal questions than this at interviews in Cairo. The horror stories I have heard from other family members and friends of the family that have gone through this process would make you sick and is probably the reason they started using bulletproof glass. You don't ever ask an Egyptian man intimate details about his wife, especially a Muslim Egyptian man.

USCIS

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!

See that trips me out a bit. Cause they're not necessarily supposed to use cultural environment to gauge cases, and yet CLEARLY they do... but then they do something like THAT! You would think they'd KNOW not to ask very personal intimate questions like that.

TERRIBLE!!!!

I'm confused. Does the embassy schedule the interview or the NVC? It seems like the embassy would do that, but when I emailed them, they told me my case is still with the NVC and I have to wait until they schedule the interview. I received a CC in early March.
