Cairo folks waiting for interview

My Congressman's office has been helping us.......they were able to get an interview scheduled which was Sept 15th after his interview he was placed on AP...the famous Black Hole. Its been 2 1/2 months I've called the embassy they will not give me any information, we email and get no answers, congressman's office emails them and it takes forever to get an answer from them. They keep saying Administrative Processing is further in-depth background checks.

I feel they pick and choose who they want to interview and approve instead of the correct processing of files.

my fiance had his interview this morning.. ) finally

he was approved. all thats left is they need some papers from the army and his visa will be issued.

yes yes... they sent me a code on the us visa website on the account i made. when i inserted this code and press continue an appointment time appears... but it seems that it is not ready yet to schedule the interview.....a massage says( there are not available appointment recently, please check later)...

My fiancé always referred to it as the CGI website.

it is not the code... I mean the reciet number (CGI) when your case is ready for the interview . a box appears in your dashboard in your account.. just type the reciet number and press continue and a calendar showing the available appointment time will be displayed from which you can schedule your own interview date you want....

however, if your interview is not ready yet .. it will display the message that there is not available appointment yet..

if your file is not loaded this message will nor apear

I tried scheduling twice via the US travel docs website and I actually scheduled an appointment twice, first on the 9th of december and second on the 10th of January, but they cancelled the appointment and sent me an email saying the following:

Dear Applicant, your appointment at the U.S. Consulate has been canceled as your file is not ready. You will be contacted once your file is ready to schedule another appointment.

hello guys, i had the same problem , my interview has been cancelled today, i sent mine october 21, this is not the problem guys, if you read about the new system in the website itself
In order to use this system, the case must be completed with all documentation submitted per our instructions. Applicants, who delivered all the required documents to the consular section, will be able to schedule their appointments after 3 weeks from the delivery date. The Consular section will upload your case number to the website which will allow you to schedule an appointment.
so its obvious that all of us sent our packet now for more than 3 weeks!

NOTE: If you cannot log into the system in order to select an appointment, then this means your case has not been cleared with all required documents submitted. If a case does not have all required documents submitted, we will return the package to you for completion. REMINDER, you will not be able to schedule an appointment if there are missing or incomplete documents. Please follow the instruction we will provide you to ensure all documentation is completed and submitted

that means to me, if our case was not cleared with all required or if there was missing or incomplete docs, we wont't from the beginning be able to log on to the system until the last step to schedule the interview!

​i am so frustrated, they made our hopes so high and then now sending us emails with cancellation saying (You will be contacted once you are able to schedule an appointment. )
that means we are still will be waiting for their mercy to contact us, they why from the beginning this new system!
i just wanted to share my thoughts with you guys

hey all. from what i have gained till this point it seems to be that there are alot of faults in the new system. when i read 3 weeks i laughed and said to myself it would be more like 3 months or so. in any case. just stay patient and keep trying. my fiance called the embassy as was able to cofirm his appt when he scheduled it. and even then when he got inside they said he didnt have an appointment for that day but went ahead and did it since he had the confirmation saying otherwise.
