Hi JennyDode2014,

Please note that K1 visa processing and CR1 visa processing are a bit different. On the K1 visa side, we don't usually do a "case complete". They're check off list is a bit different than ours.

However, like Smelserjl said, READY means the NVC has issued a case number (for K1 users) and have gone through the final process in the USA. According to your timeline, you've already sent in the packet 3 and now you're awaiting the packet 4 (the email or call for your interview date). It's looking like that is taking about 30 to 60 days to get now (or about). If you haven't received anything in about 30 days, I would start writing the embassy and asking where they are in the "line" of interview scheduling. They may give you the general email, but keep trying once a week after that.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

Romet,

thanks for this all the information you have given me. I did call the NVC last night and they said that we already have an appt. or that the Embassy is in the process of setting one....its just waiting on them to notify my fiancé. GOD WILLING IT IS SOON!!

Also I have been receiving the same letter from the NVC daily through the mail....I think I have about 10 or 12 of these letters. I am wondering why I keep getting these

don't forget guys to pay your 165 $ for the green card before you travel and print the confirmation with you from email

and i red something important that the X-Ray you should take it with you with the sealed packet (X-rays – Must be hand-carried with you, not packed in your luggage.) i red it at http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/interview/after.html

Dealt with this last night. Type a "0" (zero) after the "A" and before your registration number. Should work :)

Tried that and also tried jumbling his names in First and Middle slots in any way I could think of, still not working. How soon after you got the packet were you able to do it?

I've tried that and it still isn't working, I emailed customer support and am hoping it is fixed soon.

I hope they respond soon. I've read in some cases about how sometimes you had to wait a few days after having the visa issued to be able to pay the ELIS fee. Ours was issued June 8 and he got it back yesterday. Hopefully it'll get cleared up soon.

Thank you! Our case seems determined to "Murphy's Law" its way through the process, it's probably not available for us yet or something.
