So, we sent the papers a week ago. According to Aramex, they have been received on 2/10th. Does it typically take that long to update the documents status n the profile? I have emailed them on the 12th, and this is their response: "Kindly allow us sometime until the documents are received."

Hmm. How do you know which counselor replies? I always get a semi-generic unsigned response! Which email address do you send your questions to? I use this one: ConsularCairoIV@state.gov

His name on the signature in all of the emails. That's the right email address. You get the generic answers because you ask generic questions. I have been back and forth with him with emails but unfortunately that didn't help in anything either.

I love how you assumed that I ask generic questions! How is an inquiry about whether my documents have been received or not generic?

Sorry, didnt mean it that way. the inquiry is a generic question as the answer would be " we will let you know once we receive your papers"

Finally, case complete today! Now, onto the interview. The NVC rep I talked to today made it sound as though Cairo is just about to start scheduling. It's hard to know what to believe with them, but I am hopeful. Insha'Allah those of you with the January case completes will get scheduled soon!

Thank you, and you're welcome! :) I wish I had more information. I tried calling again today to inquire about Cairo, but no luck. You are fine. It is just that these things can be very frustrating. We sent the package on the the 10th of February, eight days later and nothing is showing on our Dashboard. However, after sending them many times, they finally replied and said that "yes, papers are received". Then, we asked of when it will be updated on the profile/ dashboard, and they went back to the generic responses.

Thank you.

Yes, because my case is an IR1/CR1 case, and the NVC has my case still as interview has yet to be scheduled, I can contact them. For those with fiance visa's, the process is slightly different.

So, before I pull my hair out, can anyone tell me, how long does it normally take the embassy to post the documents status on the dashboard/ profile? should I keep waiting or keep emailing them? I don't want to piss anyone off and have our case thrown into the nearest trash can! Haha

I haven't found out any more but I admit I haven't tried. I hassled NVC pretty often when our case first got there so I'm afraid to push my luck much more. However first week of March if I haven't heard anything I'll try again.
