some one told me that his petition was sent back to uscis after his interview last year and he thinks that one of the reason why the petition was sent back was because of a short or brief courtship before they got married,i want anyone that can help with information in andvance on how to counter that part with evidence or what kind of evidence or reason can one use to counter that part when uscis come calling?

The thing that will work best is a lot of face time after the marriage. If the couple marry the first time they met and never are together after there is the assumption of a marriage for immigration purposes. If you are dealing with a high fraud place like Nigeria you need to show you are serious about the marriage. A couple needs about a month of face time to show they are serious.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Doesn't it depend though. I've been back to Nigeria 2xs after I got married. Granted I started dating my husband in Oct./Nov 13. We got married in May. He proposed in Jan.I heard people do shorter times then that I have gotten approved. We have facetime, but who can stay in another country for a month.. I'm a knowledge manager it would put my project at risk to state that long. Not only I have a son, that I would never leave for that long. I feel like if your marriage is bona-fide nothing can stop it from being approved. They don't look at the time frame they looking at quality time spent together via phone chats, or in person. .. I'm no expert but I am so confident that we will be approved. Good luck on this journey. .Tbh as long as this journey is you will get to know your spouse. ..
