I received an email from "NO REPLY" with a link supposedly containing instructions for my fiancé's interview. Trouble is, the link does not work, and has not worked since I received it (over a week ago now): http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html

Is this something new? Perhaps we needn't worry about it and just go with the instructions on Hank's website? Any input appreciated and TIA!

That is an old link there are new letters.

Follow the flashing arrow below, click the USEM tab, scroll down about half way for links to the instruction letter (English & Tagalog)

Unless someone tells me otherwise, we're going with the link provided on Hank's website: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/325288/packets/K1%20and%20K2%20Interview%20Preparation%20Instructions%20-%20English%20_updated%2004%20Feb%202014_.pdf

Even though it's seems odd the State Dept. would send us a different link, I'm just going with that. If others were to share their experiences in terms of letters/emails from the embassy, that would be great.

A nice weekend to allow fellow Philippines VJers!

Cheers, Hank. Looks like you replied to my thread while I was...replying to my own thread.

Seriously, you need to work at the Manila embassy or perhaps at the NVC if you prefer to live stateside. No, I'm not joking. No, I'm not flattering you.

That is the old letter, guess the embassy hasn't corrected that page either. Use the direct links in my guide. Here is the link from my guide

Thanks, again, Hank. I just noticed something on the new letter which might be incorrect: "The medical examination results are delivered directly to the Embassy."

My fiancé (like others I understand from reading VJ) was given a sealed envelope by St. Luke's to take to the embassy for her interview. She understood that is the medical examination results. Is that not accurate?

That is the old instructions letter, new one reads this: (using the link I gave you two post back)

SLMCEC will release the medical exam results directly to the applicants unless instructed otherwise by the Panel Physician. Applicants are required to bring the sealed medical report to their scheduled interview at the U.S. Embassy Manila. Tampered pouches will not be accepted in the interview and applicants will be instructed to return the pouch to SLMCEC for reseal.

It is important that you have your medical examination report with you when you come to the Embassy for your visa interview. Otherwise, your visa application will be refused or you may be asked to return for another appointment.
