You can make an appointment after you filled ds160 and pay visa fees ( if you are asked to , depends on the embassy requirement. Some has to pay advance ( as I did ) while others have to pay it directly to the embassy) . Do as what the packet 3 requires you. You won't be lost . Goodluck!

I am on the exact same timeline as you. I received the exact email as you on the same day. I really do not think that there is going to be a package four. They just sent it all together. Tunisia is very bad embassy. I called and spoke to the person who sent the email. He told me my appointment would be in March but he did not know the date yet. I had already submitted the ds160 since December.

You can call and ask to speak with the person in charge of k1 visas and talk to him.,

hey all!

i got my package 3 from the embassy, they asked me to fill out the DS 160, and they said that they will schedule me an appointment as soon as i fill it up

so my question is after how long im gonna get the package 4 and the appointment for my interview? anyone can help please!

You have to go on this site to schedule your interview https://ais.usvisa-info.com/, once you pay and schedule the interview you must call the doctor and schedule the appointment, our embassy is in Colombia so it might be different, but I don't think so. you need to take the I-134 with the supporting evidence, and also take the instructions they send you once you schedule the interview, but all this is on the packet of instructions they sent you by email.

Hi.

If i remember correctly since you got the interview date letter, you should book an appointment at a clinic referred by your embassy, you can find that here on vj.

Birth certificate, police recrds, i am not sure about the money part, cause i payed that at a bank with a proper recipt in english, but i know something about that changed after i went to my interview.

Here is an idea what to bring aswell:

1. Copies of all airline boarding passes, train passes, itineraries, hotel receipts, passport stamps (make sure you can read the dates on the stamps), and other documentary evidence that you have met within the last two years. You may want to highlight or place post-it notes indicating the dates and locations on the copies (to make the adjudication easier) for the person reviewing your file. 2. Color Photo's of you and your fiance(e) together. Make sure you write your names, date, and location on the back of every photo. Provide two to five photo's. If you only have a single copy of the photo, then make a color copy and send that. If it is a digital photo, have it printed at a local photo store such as Walgreens (if at all possible) or if not on a high quality printer. Place photo's in a plastic bag or photo sheet and label the sheet. Note that you may not receive originals of photo's back. 3. The following items will not typically show proof of having met in the last two years however will show proof of an ongoing relationship: Copies of land line and cell phone bills, appropriate letters and emails, stamps on the letters (to document the date they were sent), and other written documentary proof. Provide a reasonable amount; two to four of each type. Pick a range of dates up to and including the present. You can also include a copy of engagement ring receipt (this is something that is a big optional - do not worry if you do not have a ring yet!)

If either of you have been married, bring a notarized copy of your divorce decree, we got a rfe on that one, and also if you have copied what you sent to them for the application, bring that aswell, just in case! If you dont have it,dont worry. Also bring your passport so they can put your visa in it and send it to you if/when approved. I also dont know how it works at your embassy, but maybe an empty envelope with stamps for them to send to your address with the passport , but you should check with someone who has been at an interview at your embassy, since it may be different.

How it works for Colombia or some other consulate does not mean that is how it works for Tunisia. This gets stated over and over. Different consulates have different procedures and requirements.

OP> If your consulate's instructions are vague, then you can email them and ask to be sure what you bring with you to the interview. Also, these are the overall general requirements for a K-1 visa and may be helpful for you > http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/types/family/fiance-k-1.html#6

Hi Everybody,

I really appreciate the way how people helps each other in this forum and try to do there best to provide the good information.

I'm in the step just before the step that you are in now "Mereal" and my case was sent from the NVC to the Embassy Of US here in Tunisia one month ago. And until now i didn't hear from them.

So can you please tell me what is the next step? And What is Package 3 and package 4? and if the police certificate has an expiration date or not because i have it since the beginning of January 2015 and there is no expiration date on the paper?

I want to know too if my wife has to send me papers from there (Like the affidavit of support) or not?

Good luck for everybody and happy life :)

Thanks!

hey moha!

im doing the k1 visa ( fiance visa) after the NVC sent the approval fiance visa petition to the american embassy in tunis, the embassy when they are read to process your case they will send you package 3 which is an email teliing you to fill out the ds 160 and it has the information about the doctor to make your medical exam and the list of documents you need to bring on your interview, so you have to fill out the DS 160, end then you should send an email to the embassy and you need to add the confirmation page of the DS 160 in your email so they can make sure that you already filled out the DS 160, after that the embassy will send you another email which is the package 4 to tell you about the interview date. after this email you need to call the doctor and make an appointement for the medical exam

the police certificate(b3) i think you need to renew it after three months, im not really sure about this, maybe you need to ask the police office

some people says that your fiance needs to send you the affidavit of support and some others says that you just need a copy of it,

.

Hey Mereal!

Thank you for the answer, it is very helpful.

And about the dates, how much time it took for you to receive the Package 3 after the NVC sent it to the Embassy? And how much time between the Package 3 and 4?

I hope that everything will be very good in the interview and i hope for you all the sucess with your wife.

Good luck!
