Sometimes they do and other times they don't. You can ask the CO when you finish your interview if thy have not said anything to you. If they keep your passport it's a good sign that you have passed.

No one can tell you, not even the interviewing CO, when you will get your visa. Just to get to Issued on CEAC will take 5 - 10 business days maybe longer.

This is where you need patience because it becomes a waiting game.

The CO told me that I passed the interview and they just need to do additional checks on my papers. Sounds good enough for me..

They don't always say if you're approved or not. In my case though, the CO told me that I was approved. Even at the releasing counter I was told that I was approved and that I just need to wait for my visa to be delivered.

Had my interview last Jan 29 and my CEAC status is still "ready". Patience is a virtue indeed.

I was interviewed last Feb. 2, 2015. The consul told me "Congratulations! Your visa has been approved." :goofy:

I'm now waiting for the visa packet to arrive.

The c/o told my fiance "congrats you are approved".She was approved yesterday 2/06.

Hi guys! Do you mind sharing what documents they asked from you and the interview questions? I'm scheduled next week!!!

Your tips will mean a lot to me!

They asked for everything that was on the embassy interview checklist and they also had my K1 petition with them (the one I originally sent). All the questions are about how well you know your fiance(e) so if the relationship is real, then you shouldn't have any trouble answering them. Mine were when he traveled to the Philippines, who were in the photos with us, how our families feel about each other, what he does for a living etc. All very easy. I asked him if I was approved and he said Yes. No harm asking the CO.

The CO's generally say "approved" at the end of the interview if there are no problems. Your word "passed" is more accurate than "approved" though because the files get further review where they really become "approved."

If there are no problems, it is likely you could receive your visa within 10 business days. The fiancée visas seem to take a little more time to issue. When you read comments here in VJ you can look at the profiles to see if our comments are from the same type of visa as your's.
