Timeline

Was wondering how long is the police check good for, 3 month,or a year? And how do you go about getting one .

2 Sept 2007 Choice of agent form recieved

10 Sept 2007 Choice of agent form sent back

27 Sept 2007 application 4 immigrant visa recieved need to send $380 per person to NVC jeez louise.

28 Sept 2007 Money sent.

5 Oct 2007 AOS sent.

8 Dec 230 pt one and two sent plus all documentation needed

25 Jan case complete forwarded to embassy

27 Feb appoint letter arrives for 7 April 2008 yippee.

Timeline

The police check is good for 1 year. You can obtain one by stopping into the local police station and request one -it'll run you 10 quid. It takes 30-40 days to be sent back to you, so allow for ample time.

I just received mine in the post - I think.

It's just one page saying there is no information held about me, but if I requested any categories not shown above (which is Prosecution/Conviction, I think) then GMP will send me a separate reply.

Is this my certificate I need for the interview?

17/10/06 - NOA1 (Notice of Receipt)

13/01/07 - **touched**

16/01/06 - NOA2 (Approved!!)

19/01/07 - Requested Police certificate

30/01/07 - NVC snail mail approval (dated 25th)

01/02/07 - Packet 3 from US Embassy (dated 29th)

05/02/07 - Forms sent Special Delivery to US Embassy

06/02/07 - Police certificate & vaccination record received

09/02/07 - Checklist sent Special Delivery to US Embassy

13/02/07 - Medical Appointment (Passed!!)

17/02/07 - Packet 4 from US Embassy

09/03/07 - Interview (Approved!! Pending fingerprint check)

17/03/07 - Received Visa
