Flight itinerary instead of boarding pass for evidence

Another question I had folks.

My fiancée and I have a number of flight itineraries from when we visited each other. The problem is that we don't have any of the physical boarding passes (we threw those away without even thinking about this whole I-129F). Also the flight itineraries are only in email form.

We also have scanned copies of the passport stamps.

Will this be good enough?

I hope so because I don't have the boarding passes either, except for one for a return connecting flight, as you did I submitted what I had.

I submitted:

1. Itineraries (email)

2. Flight booking receipts(email) - highlighted where is showed paid in full.

3. Bank/Credit statement showing transaction that matched the booking receipt.

I personally think it will be ok as that's all I had to submit, but I guess I will find out soon enough. I also had other evidence such as hotel receipts and bank statements showing transactions made during the vist(s).

I am not sure... You should have kept the boarding passes and submitted those as they serve as evidence that you actually were on the flight. However, not having them, then clearly you need to submit any other evidence of the visit, obviously pictures and the flight itinerary. Also submit hotel reservation and hotel receipt if you stayed in a hotel. If you have receipts from restaurants and other places, submit those too. What you are trying to do it using evidence to prove that you actually visited physically. I don't think the boarding passes will be a "make it or break it" situation if you have other solid evidences like the ones I suggested already. Also, think of anything else you can submit as hard evidence of the visit, maybe receipts and tickets with photographs of a movie theater experience or museum or something like that, maybe even credit card statements showing transactions in the country. Do you still have the luggage tags? If so, submit those too!

I just realized. I have my Japanese Identification card when I lived there for 2 years.

I guess I can scan this.

Yes! That should prove that you at least have spent time in Japan! Scan and submit! Hopefully it is within the time period of the last two years to prove that you spent time in Japan within the last two years of filing the petition.

Should have, could have, would have...but we didn't, so had to submit what I had.

In my case and probably the OP, the visa stamp in the passport shows the date I entered and departed the country that I went to, and they match the itinerary that was submitted.

The passport stamps should count for more than the itineraries.

I'm assuming you have some pictures of you two together as well, right? Or some evidence that ties you and her together, rather than just showing you were in Japan.

These are useless.

These are perfect.

For evidence so far I have:

My passport with stamps.

Her passport with stamps.

Email confirmation of hotel in her name with my name showing on Credit Card.

Email itineraries.

Photos of us together. (Goes all the way a couple years back)

Chat/phone call logs. Although it only goes about 8 months back (the apps don't have logs from more than 8 months back).

My Japanese ID when I was living there for 2 years.

Hope this is good.

Thanks everyone!

Stamps are good, but in Europe you don't receive stamps anymore due to Schengen. Therefore itiniary is better than nothing. If you have pictures taken in that time, that will back it up.

For example my fiancee and I drove to Paris together. In that time we lived in England. Ferry email had both our names and we included a picture where you can see us in front of the Eiffel Tower.

Like I said, that's all we submitted....and had our petition approved.

Looks good to me. Remember, be judicious with the photos and chat logs. Submitting more of each does not bring a faster approval or any other benefit.

When we were approved in 2014. I didn't have any boarding passes...I threw them away or lost them. I submitted itineraries. I didn't have any problems.
