We had our interview yesterday Feb 05, 2015 at Dallas Office(Irving) our appointment was 7:45AM, we got there 7:20 and we waited for 20 minutes then the Immigration Officer called us and escorted in his room. Before we took our seat she made us swore to tell the truth and nothing but the truth then took a seat, he asked our IDs for verification, the Immigration Officer was nice and quite simply asked the questions like, my wife's name, her mother's name, dad's name, very simple, he asked that to me and then to my wife too, like my name, blablabla

He asked typical questions like when is your birthday, marriage date, engagement date, etc. then she asked if we have pictures, bank account or anything we have joint together, my wife showed our scrapbook that we have and plus pictures that we printed, he took a look, but like for five or six seconds and closed the scrapbook, we showed her also our recent bank statements and he kept it for his records and the car insurance as well. Than he asked me about the "NO" questions, felony. crime, terrorist, blablabla. He told us that he had enough but no decision was made, like he gave me a paper saying its being held for review, told me that can take till 120 days blablabla, and escorted us till the exit, but before he took a copy of ours ID`s. And thats it.

I didnt received any site update or something like that yet.

But in me and my wifes view, the interview went REALLY well.

Lets wait and see!

I went to Dallas office for interview on 1/12/2015 and my case is still held for reviewing. But mine is kinda special because my husband was married before and his ex-wife received green card through him like 8 years ago. A supervisor definitely needs to review my case but I don't know how long it's gonna take.

Unless you have such a situation like me, otherwise you should be able to receive update in 30 days based on my research.

Good luck!

Probably not that good since I answered my husband's birthday wrong and his mom's maiden name wrong (I answered his mom's married name). But I don't really think that's the issue. It's more like they are observing you and your spouse rather than the answers during the interview.

The office spent time asking my husband's previous marriage. Even asked where the ex wife is from and if she is a citizen now. Another fact is that we don't have a wedding or engagement ceremony. So these might be red flags. But at the same time, we lived together 1.5 years before we got married (I am pretty sure that the background check would show that or the drive license copies or the credit report?) and we bought a house together once got married. My point is, you never know which parts would get USCIS suspicious.

I am just pretty sure that my case would definitely not get approved on the spot....

I thought my case was perfect at first too until officer started to question my husband's previous marriage. We didn't prepare too much about his previous marriage since he was married to his high school sweet heart at 22 and divorce was finalized at his age of 29.

I think people did gtt approved on spot in Dallas office. Please see the following link from trackitt.

Don't worry too much. Your case probably would be approved in 1 week. Can you please keep me updated?

Yes I live in Dallas. :star:

Tekogremista,any update on your case?

I was planning to visit info pass yesterday but had to reschedule it due to the bad weather. I haven't received any update yet.

Question, as I know nothing about this 'Info Pass.'

But, isn't Info Pass a phone system?

If yes, how is it affected by bad weather?

And when you say 'visit,' do you mean go to a physical location, or merely talk on phone?

Thanks, Leo

Info pass = an appointment with USCIS officer at USCIS field office

You can schedule it either on line for through the phone.

There was a ice storm in DFW area so I couldn't make it to the office.

No updates, im planning to go there too, but it need to be scheduled by internet right ?

Yes. https://infopass.uscis.gov//

Try to use your computer to schedule the appointment at night, 9 pm or 10 pm. You will never be able to make an appointment in day time based on my experience.

And using zip code randomly. I used 76102. :dancing:

My case has been pending for about 43 days.... :sleepy:
