Makes me think of one of LBJ's most famous quotes:

If one morning I walked on top of the water across the Potomac River, the headline that afternoon would read: 'President Can't Swim.'

Lyndon B. Johnson

Well considering he saved someone that by law should be executed for desertion, and failed to save people that were doing selfless humanitarian work , I would say mad--No Surprised--NO.

Sickened with the taste of bile in my throat--YES

Today I learned that execution is still a possible punishment for desertion. However, I then learned that only one soldier has been executed for desertion since and including ww2 despite the fact that since then (and including ww2) thousands and thousands and thousands of soldiers have been guilty of desertion. I will agree with you that what's his name IS a deserter and should be treated like the thousands of other deserters in modern time.

If your referring to George Zimmerman I don't think he served and I don't recall a court marshal being convened to make such determination. Having said taht, I agree with you that public opinion believes he to be a scumbag who should be punished for his crime.

I said by law, should have been executed. I choose my wording carefully. I was quite aware he would not likely have been executed for desertion.

However you have to admit, Obama did nothing to save all the innocent good people ISIS killed, but did pull out all the stops to save a fellow Muslim, I mean war deserter .
