They're doing that - not that they have to but they are. And you ignore it.

Gotta ask yourself: When a bible freak goes and kills a doctor for that doctor performs procedures that said bible freak disagrees with or better yet bombs the facility where procedures that (s)he disagrees with take place, is there anyone that calls for Muslims to take to the streets asking for Christians to do the same? Do you take to the streets? Yeah, exactly. I didn't think so.

Easy bud, you don't know me......I stated that I do not watch much of the news and I may be ignorant to the subject, I do read headlines and most of the stories throughout the day, but If the media doesn't report much on it I will miss it.....No I don't take to the streets in context to the actions of a single individual, so let's be realistic, this is not an isolated case being performed by a single individual, such as a "bible freak", acting on his sole twisted belief, these are groups of people performing terrorist acts in the name of a religion and its followers. If I were one of those followers I wouldn't need some one to "call" me to the streets, I wouldn't hesitate to make my voice known to defend what I believe in. Perhaps you wouldn't do the same, you would wait for the "call", because apparently you believe there must be a calling before you stand up to what you believe.

people who claim christianity as their faith murder people everyday, abuse children everyday, molest babies, etc etc. jails are full of christians.

where's the outrage?

oh yeah, that's right..christianity is the majority here. so it's easy to say, hey..that's not the christianity i know - that murderer/abuser/rapist/ whatever doesn't represent me or my faith.

My point exactly. You can only be a Christian if you're perfect. Once you do something bad, the title is removed.

I think you miss the point, yes its true murders etc, happen everyday and people fill the jails by people of all faiths, now maybe you are right here the majority are Christians, so most of these crimes are performed and the jails are mostly filled by them, but that is because it is the majority, in other countries where the religions majority is different the crimes and jails are going to be filled by people of that religious majority.

Regardless, that is not the point you are missing, the point you are missing is that the people who are doing these crimes here everyday are NOT doing it in the name of Christianity, they are committing these crimes for whatever reason...the terrorists are committing the crimes in the name of their religion..they commit crimes against there own I believe for secular differences, against others who refuse to convert to their religion, others because they are a different faith other than their own, and enemies of war, holy war. The other problem is in the way they then handle their so called enemies, any civilized group of people would capture their enemies as prisoners of war, and not behead, bury alive, or burn them to alive, and certainly not televise it.

Watching news doesn't provide you with information. It feeds you sensationalist bull. If you read US news media, you will primarily get US news. If you want to know what is happening in the world, then it would behoove you to peruse actual news sources from - well - around the world. If you don't do that, then you shouldn't complain that there's a lack of reporting. There isn't. It's all there if you are interested. But you form judgements like "mainstream Muslims don't stand up when their religion is hijacked by criminal nutcases" which are largely based on a lack of information and that can't be good. Just wanted to get that out there before I hear any more "easy buds".

You wouldn't of heard "Easy Bud" at all if you weren't a smart a** and assume what my answer was to a question you had asked and answered for me.....I'm specifically speaking of this "Do you take to the streets? Yeah, exactly. I didn't think so."

That was more of a rhetorical question, really. I thought the context would give that away. I'll ask more generically next time to avoid potentially offending anyone.

I'm just trying to participate in the discussion, in which I stated that I may be ignorant to the subject, I wasn't ignoring the facts, as ignorant Me and I lack knowledge thereof, and asked to be corrected if I was wrong. Rhetorical questions are fine, but proceeding to provide an answer makes the question non rhetorical.

Putting it rest now.

it's not that i misunderstand your point, i'm just making a different one. anyone can claim a religion. the point i'm interested in is not confusing isis with a religion that people just like us, regular normal non-beheading people, practice every day.

i can agree with you to a point, but taking a life is just that, taking a life. there really isn't any moral difference in my mind as to how it's done. what i mean by that is, they want you to watch. they know it horrifies you and gets your attention. it's strategy.

Gotta ask yourself: When a bible freak goes and kills a doctor for that doctor performs procedures that said bible freak disagrees with or better yet bombs the facility where procedures that (s)he disagrees with take place, is there anyone that calls for Muslims to take to the streets against Islamist terrorism asking for Christians to do the same? Do you take to the streets? Yeah, exactly. I didn't think so.

Abortion clinic bombers all 10 or so of them are vilified in our Press, in our churches and almost every segment of our society. They are hunted down and ruthlessly prosecuted by our Govt and can enjoy almost zero support among our local population.

Radical Islamist number in the many many millions world wide and are causing havoc and spreading intolerance and brutality in almost every part of the globe. They enjoy wide support in many countries and at least some support in almost all countries with a Muslim population. In many parts of the world they operate in the open, with little or no resitance from the Govt.

YES IT'S EXACTLY THE SAME THING.. If you are blind and have an IQ of 10
