I cannot imagine becoming a US panel physician is an easy thing to do.

When I booked my tickets for my week in Montreal, it actually would have been cheaper to fly there and back twice than to stay in a hotel for week. BUT I didn't want to make the trip twice or worry about couriering the medical results. It's really not so bad.

BTW I'm from Alberta and even if my mom went with me to Surrey BC and shared the gas costs it still would have cost as much as that week in Montreal, which is why I chose to do that anyhow. (I still had to fly to Montreal for the interview after all.) Yeah it sucks when you don't drive but at least there is a train system there you can use. $39 round trip to Montreal and 4 nights in a hotel or two trips and 1 night? Yeah sounds better than my 1 hr drive, 4 hour plane trip (plus layovers), 6 nights in a hotel which included a weekend, a 5 hour fly back (again layovers), 1 hr drive back home.... I think the trip not including the medical costs us over 1500. By the time food and medical was was added it in it was probably closer to 2000 or more. If I had lived closer to Vancouver I would have tried for the K3!

I'm not saying it doesn't suck, but it is what it is. Hopefully your husband/fiance can help you out some by maybe taking a week or a few days off work to drive you around as needed.
