i have some doubts

one of them

the document they sent me say that i only must bring the police certificationand the instruction letter (where it says that), all other documents are marked with an O, Y or F.

but in this page: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/interview/applicant_interview.html

says i must bring ALL froms and documents.

Also... reding the photograph requirements... (this is more a interpretation leanguage issue relared) i am learning english.. but i really dont get what does it says here:

"Taken in front of a plain white or off-white background"

i understans a color for a background... but what is "off-white background"?

Off-white as I understand is like a creamy white. But my visa photo was done with a white background.

You must bring all original civil documents to your interview including the most recent ITR and W2 of your petitioner and joint sponsor (if any).

The ITR and W2 can be scanned copies.

Thats what i guessed...

but the letter i received says this:

Bring updated Federal income tax information to the interview. If a sponsor filed an I-864 (Affidavit of

Support) and provided the NVC with proof of an IRS Federal income tax extension in lieu of a Federal

income tax return, bring the sponsor's most recent Federal income tax return to the visa interview.

I need help to understand, (or at least to be clear with something)

in a document:

Information Concerning the Medical Examinations and Vaccines:

this is an excerpt...:

 50-59 years - US$219.00 (Between February 22nd and August 20th the influenza (flu) vaccine is not applied)
 50-59 years - US$159.00
 60-64 years - US$219.00 (Between February 22nd and August 20th the influenza (flu) vaccine is not applied)
 60-64 years - US$159.00
 65 years or more - US$199.00 (Between February 22nd and August 20th the influenza (flu) vaccine is not
applied)
 65 years or more - US$139.00

what i dont understand... when the influenza vaccine IS NOT applied... then it is more expensive... is that what it means?

also....

Important Notice: All documents not written in English or in the official language of the country in which the interview takes place MUST be accompanied by a translation in English.

just to be clear...

that means that the police certificate... does not need translation, i can go with it in spanish (which is the native language where the interview is taking place...) am i right?

Not all the time because some civil documents expire like police certificates. ;)

Hi!

i went to the place where my fingerprint must be taken....

and i heard people talking with cases supposedly similar to mine... that i also have to fill a DS-160 before the interview.

i am having hard time with this because in my instructios mentions nothing about the ds-160, i know that sometimes with the US government has or is implementing new methods, sometimes they dont get to update the procedures, people told me that the DS-160 helps to expedite the process...

what i found weird is that the DS-160 clearly says NON-INMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION.... so, i don't understand...

or is the US embassy using this from as a generic one just to catch my data and to do the process quickly.

is this a rumor?

is that true?

i need help with that

You don't need a DS160 because you're chasing an immigrant visa.

But you must bring the printout confirmation page of your DS260.

I have done some research to figure it out where this info come from.

i am quite clear, most doubts were clarified thanks to you!

I still have some questions, my interview is within two days, and i have found this http://spanish.santodomingo.usembassy.gov/iv-nuevo_proceso-iv_pasos.html

it is fromthe website of my local US embassy, it is in spanish... but the part that worries me is that it says that

Everybody with an interview for an inmigrant visa, from January 2015 must bring the DS-260 to the interview...

in my case, i have filled the DS230 not the DS260, i read that the DS230 is the old/paper version of the DS230

so... am i right?

nothing to worry about it yet?

i dint wanted to try to fill that ds260 because it scares me the fact that it could interfere with its normal course...

also the instructions in the email i received from the NVC were quite clear, following those instructions i barely need couple of documents (i just want to be well prepared)

in the instruction page they send me only mention to bring that letter and the police certificate...

am i right taking the extra papers with me or it is a must?
