Packet 3 Question

On the packet 3 instructions I downloaded from the US embassy in Phnom Penh it states that the DS-160 confirmation page should be emailed to the embassy, and that form 169 and I-134 should be brought to the interview along with all of the other requested documentation. Is this a new procedure? Previously I had read on this forum that the DS-160 confirmation page, form 169 and I-134 should all be sent by mail to the embassy.

The packet 3 instructions say not to mail anything to the embassy. I dont know if this is a new procedure to avoid the cambodian mail system. Im going to email the embassy and confirm this is correct.

I heard back from the embassy in Phnom Penh. They said that as of December you now email the DS-160 confirmation page. Then they will schedule the interview. This seems like a much better procedure.

So just to confirm; DS-160 should be emailed to embassy, form 169 and I-134 take with you along with the checklist to the interview? Interview will be given 1-2 weeks after embassy receive the emailed DS-160?

You will be able to find out your interview time/date 1 or two weeks after you submit form 160.

For us the actual interview was almost 3 months after we submitted the DS160.

We submitted everything in January, and the interview took place on March 31.
