1. My wife's interview for AOS is coming up on feb. 26. They gave us a checklist of everything that we need to bring and one of the things it says is to bring evidence of joint accounts. We don't really have any joint accounts or anything. The only thing we have is a family cell phone plan and gym memberships but we don't have a joint bank account and her name is not on the lease for our apartment or anything like that. Is it crucial that we have these things?

2. Also, the checklist says to bring all documentation establishing her eligibility for Lawful Permament Resident status. What documents are they talking about?

Take whatever you have that is joint or proves you are co-mingling finances and co-habitation. Copies of IDs with the same address on them. How about a signed statement from the landlord stating she lives there with you?

Entering with the K-1 and marrying within 90 days is what made you eligible to file for AOS. All of that should be in your file already, but a lot of people go ahead and bring copies of their I-129F documentation and what they supplied for AOS.

Same here, when our interview comes we will have nothing, that scares me, we have our own bank accounts, will have different insurance, The only thing that will be the same is our address on our ID cards :/ Will this be a problem?

Edit: Also we are a same sex couple in texas. I just think if people knew we were married around here we would be in trouble etc. Also if his work find out he could get fired etc, stuff like that, it makes us scared.
