I don't think there are hard statistics on k-1 interview approvals. It is natural to be a bit nervous before the interview, but try to relax and take the pressure off. If you're a real couple, really know each other and the details of your lives, have good evidence then you will be fine. My then-fiance was very nervous before the interview but everything went fine, the consular officer was really nice and he was approved. He was asked some very detailed questions that if we weren't a real couple he wouldn't know that answer to, but he answered correctly and was approved. Good luck with everything :D

There are stats for K-1 approvals. Almost all of them get approved. Search the archives here, you'll find a few posts with details.

OP, don't worry about it if you have your papers in order and a legit relationship.

Everything seems so positive, and I have a good feeling about your interview.

But, you just never know, a "bad" officer, who just had a fight with their spouse, been in trouble with their supervisor, who knows what can happen with "human nature".,.,.. expect the worst, and take the very best, which I think is where you are!

Best to you, your wording in your posts are so genuine, and I see a favorable out come, best of luck!

Here is another thread with information on approval rates. I agree with others, each case is different for sure and no one knows, but statistically things are in your favor.

You are right, it is just finally the end of a long journey and nerves get to you.

Your journey with USCIS is just beginning....you do have the advantage moving forward of doing it together, under the same roof!

Our relationship is genuine we love each other,

Love alone doesn't matter, it's content that is key.

I have sent the embassy about 400 pictures more or less, like 200 skype pages of logs, and all the stamps of all countries we have visited together.

Content is key. Photos and visits do nothing to tell about the legitimacy of a relationship. Hopefully your Skype logs will portray the evolution of a relationship; virtually all follow a normal course of events....the geting to know you stage, discussions about the future, discussions involving each other into the future, discussions of marriage, discussions of life in the US, the engagement discussions, discussions about the visa process, etc etc. If none of your evidence addresses theses topics, then you should be concerned. If they do, then you'll be fine.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

Our interview is on february 12th. If all documents are correct, relationship is real, there is no reason for denying him, right? We haven't had any rfe, problems, or anything. Does that give us any hope that he will be approved? His medical however was scheduled only three days before the interview. Please guys I am really scared at this point. We have been together for more than 3 years, this process is taking almost a year of papers and documents. What are the rates of approval for K-1 visa interviews?

realistically speaking, if everything "is fine", there's really only 2 possible reasons for denial and 1 is crucial/critical/mandatory denial if not met

Affidavit of Support = this alone guarantees a denial if they think you will be a public charge/the petitioner does not make enough money/etc.. this right here is the one that is a guaranteed denial

Medical = if they find drugs in the blood or something in your lungs, etc, it's not an outright denial but it will delay the process further and you won't get the visa

so yea.. realistically speaking, those 2 are the "backbreakers"

My dad is my co-sponsor and he is above the 125% of poverty guidelines.

Medical wise he is 25 never been sick besides the usual flu, or little things. He doesn't do drugs, just smokes cigarettes once in a while, but i dont think that would be a big deal.

then you have nothing to be so nervous about :) but do check that your case accepts co-sponsor's..

does this mean you, alone, by yourself cannot meet the 125%?

i've read some applications (K-1?) does not allow co-sponsors.. the petitioner alone must be able to prove the beneficiary won't be a public charge

anyhows like i said, really if everyhting is "fine", the main thing that'll stop you is the financial and the medical

i don't know too many details but in my reading, most everyone whose been denied a visa or delayed is because of those 2 reasons

If it says in the appointment letter that the embassy accepts joint sponsors and yours meets the 125% minimum requirement you will be fine with that part. From what I have learned from research in here is that part is more or so procedural as in if your joint sponsor shows his funds and can back it all up with sufficient proof they simply look at the paperwork and simply move along. The main purpose of the interview is to prove the bona fide relationship and since yours seems to be 100% genuine your fiance will be approved. I have a long 12 days to go before my fiancee has her interview and I can so feel your pain and stress of worrying because I'm going through the same here. Everything will be fine just like all the great people in here tell me that's been through it all as well...

I think that's what adds up through the years not immediately after..

Nope, that is the fee for AOS (includes EAD and AP); then 2 years later, ROC another 400-500.

Various expenses once in the country (not counting airfare), such as clothes, medical insurance, maybe a car, etc....

You are looking at about 4-5k before all is done.

And then, sooner or later, there will be a travel home to reconnect to family...usually within first 2 years...

Notice also, that spouse will not be able to work for some time (2-3 months after AOS) if that is the plan.

If they do, then you'll be fine.

My then-Fiancee & my evolution was a little different. "Getting to know" stage was literally like 1-2 weeks, before we transitioned to "discussions involving each other into the future." This occurred because we rapidly had a mutual feeling within 1-2 weeks of meeting online that something about each other was possibly worth investing the rest of our lives in. So before we decided to proceed any further at all, & before our feelings got too involved, we immediately discussed meeting in person & coming to an agreement on how & where exactly we could come to live together. Basically we were testing each other's resolve. Trying to feel each other out & see what each of us were willing to commit to this. Basically we both agreed that each of us would be willing to live in the other's country.

With that bridge crossed, we resumed the "getting to know you" stage while simultaneously planning our 1st (in-person) meeting together, which actually occurred 4 months after meeting online. Additionally, as time went on, we also added in the "discussions of marriage" stage, which eventually triggered the "discussions about the visa process" stage, mainly after I did some research on the entire subject. The research was challenging because I went from knowing & caring nothing about the Visa process prior to Oct 2013 all the way to knowing quite a bit about it by the time Jan 2014 came around.

Then she visited me in person in Feb 2014. There was no "engagement discussions" because I wanted to surprise her with the whole engagement thing. I didn't want her to come to America knowing that I was gonna propose to her, even though I had already bought the ring & soft-planned to propose to her when she came. I had to wing it on the proposal, as I had only soft-planned, but it worked out. She was indeed extremely surprised & I'll never forget her face. Watching how she was here was basically the beginning of the "discussions of life in the US" stage.

The rest, as they say, is history.
