They all are liars and it has been they are for decades. Williams was called out for his lying New Orleans coverage and NBC promoted him for it. The only difference was that NBC used his New Orleans coverage to pound Bush and got big ratings from it. We all know that next week this will blow over.

i don't know anything about that, mainly because i don't get my news from mainstream media. but any pounding bush got for katrina was well earned. i can only imagine how you'd feel if obama had been presiding over that disaster.

The exact same way. Presidents are not responsible for hurricanes or natural disasters. I was in Houston before the landfall and we were gearing up for the largest disaster response in history as we expected it would be bad. What was accomplished was a mammoth undertaking and everyone should have been congratulated but all we got was how inept we were.

Because of that disaster the Feds have taken on full responsibility for disasters instead of just helping out and when we got clobbered by Ike the Feds took over fully and the bureaucracy was stunningly bad that I now will never volunteer again to help out in disaster relief.

Guess no one can really see why this lying POS is not held in high esteem. NBC and the other media wanted to skewer Bush so bad that when Williams was telling yet other lies the media ate it up and turned the public against what a huge amount of great peoples work was doing at that time. The only thing it could have been compared to was an actual invasion and war. We had people that knew what to do as we have done it before. I was just a lowly cog in a wheel driver trying to bring in just 45,000 pounds of bottled water at a time and go back and get more but the National Guard with their Engineers coming in with portable bridges or earth moving equipment to get through another obstacle were amazing. The medical battalions were stellar and the logistics were amazing. We had to leap frog as an obstacle was being neutralized we would drop trailers at staging points and go back and bring another. Grab a trailer and move on until another obstacle appeared and we would stage again and do it all over. I still am amazed at the great amount of people that had somehow made it in and did so in a real good time considering the challenges. The guard would set up tents and cots so we could get a nap in. Have hot meals usually for us to eat and even sometimes shower stations so we could scrub and clean up. They would also have TV's up and we were watching the media castigate us for being inept. The National Guard were amazing people and my hats are off to them. Texas took the lead in the relief efforts and that was before the storm ever hit we were staging supplies to take in after the storm went through. At that time it was the largest relief effort ever attempted. The media never cared because of talking heads like this Williams.

Yes and so what? They are all liars but it doesn't matter as I can tell since you are trying to deflect what I have posted. Fox news is one network so why castigate them only as a right wing media when the other numerous meddia are left wing trash? They are all culpable and controlled by money and the two major parties keep them afloat. Most don't know that they are profitable because of the money the two parties dump to them. So why castigate Fox only?

You and I usually over the years have seen eye to eye eventually. They are crappy and no one should look to them for deep thought provoking analysis. They should be good for a regular news of, who, what, when, where, and why is all but they even fail at that now.
