Hello,

i just have a question about the processing time frame june 6, 2014 for I-29 form. I am not exactly know what this mean. Can someone explain it to me what they are saying about the I-29 K1 visa processing time? My first and only notice came on July 23rd stating that they have received my documents and is processing and nothing since then. Please help!!

Its saying that they have received your packet...So now be ready for about 6 to 7 months for approval. I submitted my I-129 July 10, 2014 and was approved on January 23, 2015. Now the NVC has my paper work and will probably wait another 2 months before they send me my interview date

I have a question about how long does one need to know each other before filing a K1 Visa. I have already filed my I-29F back in july and got my NOA1 on July 23, 14. Me and my fiancee know each other for only 4 months before we decided to get engage. Is that enough time to together to be approve? I went to visit her in her homeland and spend a little over a month with her. We took lots of pictures and went out to so many places. Before i went to see her i figure that when i get back that i will start my I-29F immediately so that we can be together since its gonna take at least a year or so if everything go as planned. I am nervous as i looked through some of the profile of people here and most of them have been with each other for 2-3 years before filing because my relationship hasnt been long. Now its been a little over a year now and i relationship is as strong as the day i met her.

Uscis only cares to see that you met in the last two years because it's one of the requirements. The consulate is the one that looks more closely at the relationship. That'll be during the interview. Some consulates are tougher than others. Which one are you at?

I would still say don't sweat it though. It's all about being a genuine relationship. There's no time requirement. :)

Nice to hear that, like i said i am a bit nervous but this makes me feel much better. She lives in Phnom Penh Cambodia, so i am guessing she will do her interview in Phnom Penh.

I the time it takes will vary on your country of origin and you're local embassy's process.

I suggest you check out the timelines of cases from your country so you will see an estimate or at least have an idea how long it will take.
