We got our case and invoice number last week. Yay!! Here's my question:

The list of supporting documents they sent to us mentioned passport. Does that mean my (petitioner) passport or my step daughters? We are in the process of now of securing a passport for her. If I can send this stuff in now, all the better, or do we need to wait until she gets hers?

Thank you in advance!!

It is the passport of the benifiary that is needed. Your profile indicates a K-1 visa and you state that you are the petitioner...so who is the fiancee? What role does your step-daughter have in this?

I petitioned my wife to come here on a K1 2 years ago. We've since been married and now I'm petitioning her daughter, (my step-daughter,) via I130. I just haven't

created a new profile. Thanks for your response.

That makes sense now. I was a bit confused.

Yes, your step-daughter needs her passport as it is required for the Medical and the Interview.

Thanks. I know the passport is required for the medical and interview...we're not quite there yet. I'm sure she'll have it by then. What I'm referring to is the list of supporting documents to be sent into the NVC when I pay my invoice fee. Is it her passport they require or mine?

Thanks again.

A copy of her passport..."A copy of intending immigrants biographic page of passport(s) including expiration date."

How long did it take you receive your case number?
