I am under an EB-3 petition to the US and is currently completing my medical exams. Unfortunately, the darn thing is taking SO long here in the Philippines. To make matters worse, I have lung scars that need to be evaluated, thus adding two more grueling months of waiting time. Granting the clinic here in the Philippines messes things up and wants me to undergo medication (+6 more months), I will be out of Canada for a year. And I DO NOT want that to happen. As of today, I am already 5 months away from Canada. I was wondering it its possible to move my file from this blasted country to Toronto, Canada or Calgary, Alberta, as I have relatives there?

Thanks so much!

Moving will not make your scars go away. The medical facilities, regardless of location, follows the same protocol mandated by CDC and the Dept of State so there's no escape.

Good luck though.

Thanks for the input.

But its not about avoiding the TB treatment hon, it's about fulfilling and maintaining my Canadian residency obligations. And if I can have that extra added bonus of having my medicals in Toronto to make my life easier - why not right? Compared to having your medical exams here in the Philippines which is absolute stone age.

You have to reside in the country where interview will be held. Cannot be just temp visit or if you just have relatives there.

Yes. I am a Canadian permanent resident. I have been living in Hamilton, Ontario for the past 2 years. I am only here in the Philippines for the interview and medicals
